Original Fandom: Doki Doki Literature Club

During the events of Doki Doki Literature Club,

Monika forces Sayori into depression. This later leads to Sayori committing suicide by the end of Act 1. Monika later goes on a rampage on tampering with the code of the game, causing the protagonist to see horrific imagery, auditory illusions, and the death of the other two club members, Natsuki and Yuri.

Monika apparently did this in order to be with the protagonist forever. The only way to end this Act is if the protagonist went into the game's code and deleted Monika's file. At the end of Act 3, as Monika is deleted, she realizes her mistakes and promptly restores the game, returning to the game shows us a version of Doki Doki Literature Club without Monika, a version where Sayori is now the Club President.

However, before Act 4's end, Sayori becomes self-aware and attempts to create an alternate ending so she can be with the protagonist forever before Monika deletes the game and ends the cycle of Club Presidents. However, in this AU, Sayori was somehow able to permanently delete Monika, thus causing her to be in control of the game.

It's unknown how she was able to get into contact with The Bad End Friends, let alone the reasoning behind her choice to leave the protagonist behind, perhaps they opened up the game on the PC of the protagonist who abandoned her, or maybe The Bad End Friends are also within the confinement of a digital world, we may never know...

Powers:
-Breaking the Fourth Wall: Sayori is aware of the fictionality of her universe.
-Resistance to Plot Manipulation: Sayori managed to break out of the script of the game via her knowledge of the Fourth Wall, something not even the Player is able to do.
-Script: She can edit the "script" of the game at will, therefore deciding every event that happens within the game.
-Erasure: She can "erase" the file of anyone, which results in their erasure of the entire history of the world, leaving it to adapt to their absence. However, Sayori herself is unaffected and can still remember their existence and bring them back at will.
-Non-Corporeal: Through unknown means, Sayori can keep her conscience and ability to affect reality even after having her file (and thus, her entire existence) is deleted. Though not demonstrated directly in-game, she can likely bring her own file back to existence as Monika did with her friends, as long as she keeps a "back up" of her own file.
