Quidditch was never Maia's cup of tea, at least playing the game. Watching it could be enjoyable at times. Today's match was Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw, so it should be somewhat interesting. Maia had gotten the necklace back from Remus earlier that day, it felt odd wearing it. Wearing it was like that little spark of hope that her father was innocent. Unlikely, she's seen the photos, heard the stories.

Maia again sat with Astoria. The game was not too eventful, Lee Jordan using his  commentator  privileges to advertise the Firebolt, which was Harry Potter's new broom. However, Draco and his friends thought it would be funny to trick Potter into thinking they were dementors, he had cast a Patronus in response. Maia laughed hard at the look on her cousins face from the fright it gave him.

The halls were somewhat empty, after the game, almost everyone had decided to return to their common rooms. Maia took this as time for herself, just her and her thoughts. She walked the halls, tracing the walls, heading back up to the astronomy tower.

She gazed out of the tower, fiddling with her necklace. Her mind traced back to the words of her Uncle Lucius in the beginning of the school year.

"Look at him! Not an ounce of love or care for the girl could be left!"

Could it be true?

"Thought I'd find you here." Maia was startled by the sudden voice, and looked behind her.

"No. Leave. Please." Maia sat up.

"Maia- Can we please just talk?" Fred pleaded, following her as she walked towards the door of the tower.

"Fred, I can't! It shouldn't have happened!" she walked down the stairs, hearing Fred's footsteps behind her.

"Was it really that bad? Would this be that bad!?"

"Yes! Salazar's sake- Yes!" she stormed down the hall, till she felt a hand around her arm, which pulling her around. She was now face to face with Fred.

"Can you just talk to me? Please? Face to face?" he says, looking down at her with eyes like a lost puppy's.

Maia's voice was brought to a whisper. "I can't. Not face to face... It'll just happen again..."

"I'm not stopping you, M." Fred tucks a piece of her curly dark brown hair behind her ear.

"M? Nicknames? Already?" She thought to herself.

Maia looked up at him. Whispering as her breath was hitched in her throat. "I can't. Good night, Fred." she pulled herself away from him, and made her way back to the Slytherin common room.

That next morning, the castle was being searched again. Apparently, Ron Weasley had seen Sirius Black standing over him with a knife the night before.

"It sounds like bullshit to me." Adrian Pucey sat down at the Slytherin table. "Just sounds like another Weasley begging for attention, like last year!"

"Last year-? Oh my- you mean Ginny Weasley in the Chamber of Secrets? I'm pretty sure that actually happened, Pucey." Astoria laughed at him.

"Alright- but what about this now? There's no way he's telling the truth right?" another Slytherin student joined in.

"If he is, we could all be in danger!" Theodore Nott added in, other students nodding around him in agreement.

Then suddenly, everyones eyes turned to Maia, at least it seemed like that. She felt awful. All these looks felt like they were piercing through her soul. Stabbing her in the chest again and again and again.
