Hermione pulled the time turner off and stuffed it back into her robes.

"Hermione, what-?" Harry began, before Hermione pulled the other two into a broom closet, closing the door.

"We've gone back in time, Potter." Maia told him.

Hermione nodded. "Three hours back."

Harry pinched himself, making sure he wasn't dreaming. Maia snickered, "Want me to do it for extra measure?"

He scoffed at her, before Hermione shushed them.

"Shh! Listen! Someone's coming! I think- I think it might be us!" Hermione pressed her ear against the door of the broom closet. "Footsteps across the hall... yes, I think it's us going down to Hagrid's!"

"Are you telling me," Harry looked puzzled. "that we're here in this cupboard and we're out there too?"

"Yes- Potter- catch up." Maia rolled her eyes.

Hermione moved away from the door, "We've gone down the front steps..." she sat down on a bucket.

"So... are we just going to sit here in a broom cupboard for a while?" Maia tilted her head.

"We just have to wait it out." Hermione sighed anxiously.

Harry lifted his head up, "Where did you get that hourglass thing?"

"Time turner, Potter, time turner." Maia corrected him.

"Okay- Time turner." he rolled his eyes. "Where'd you get it?"

"I got it from Professor McGonagall on our first day back. I've been using it all year to get to all my lessons. Professor McGonagall made me swear I wouldn't tell anyone. She had to write all sorts of letters to the Ministry of Magic so I could have one. She had to tell them that I was a model student, and that I'd never, ever use it for anything except my studies.... I've been turning it back so I could do hours over again, that's how I've been doing several lessons at once, see? But..." she took a deep sigh. "I don't understand what Dumbledore wants us to do. Why did he tell us to go back three hours? How's that going to help Sirius?"

"He said that we could save more than one innocent life yeah? Maybe start thinking with that!" Maia suggested, adjusting the sling around her arm.

"This is three hours ago, and we are walking down to Hagrid's," Hermione muttered. "We just heard ourselves leaving..."

Harry's face lit up, causing Maia and Hermione to look at him. "Buckbeak! Two innocent lives! We have to save Buckbeak!"

"The hippogriff?" Maia cocked her eyebrow.

Harry nodded. Hermione spoke up, "But- How will that save Sirius?"

"Dumbledore said- he just told us where the window is- the window of Flitwick's office! Where they've got Sirius locked up! We've got to fly Buckbeak up to the window and rescue Sirius! Sirius can escape on Buckbeak- they can escape together!"

"Great, Potter! Maybe I underestimated your intelligence." Maia nodded, making Harry crack a smile.

Hermione, however, looked awfully frightened, "If we manage that without being seen, it'll be a miracle!"

"It'd never hurt to try!" Maia replied.

Harry put his ear up to the door, "Doesn't sound like anyone's there.... Come on, let's go."

Harry pushed the closet door open to reveal the empty hall. Harry gave the girls a nod, before the bolted out of the closet and down the steps.

"If anyone's looking out of the window-" Hermione began.
