Hermione shrieked, while Maia and Sirius jumped in shock. Harry looked very puzzled.

"I found this at the base of the Whomping Willow," Snape said, throwing the cloak towards Harry, while still pointing his wand at Remus."Very useful, Potter, I thank you...."

Maia scoffed at him, Snape turned his attention to her.

"Ah! What a wonderful family reunion!" He rolled his eyes.

Sirius almost spoke in defense before Snape cut him off.

Snape seemed to be exhausted, "You're wondering, perhaps, how I knew you were here?" he turned and looked at Remus again."I've just been to your office, Lupin. You forgot to take your potion tonight, so I took a gobletful along. And very lucky I did... lucky for me, I mean. Lying on your desk was a certain map. One glance at it told me all I needed to know. I saw you running along this passageway and out of sight."

Remus looked at Maia and muttered, "So you saw it, inspected it, but you didn't close it!? Were you not just telling me it wasn't very smart to have left that out?"

Maia replied, "I saw his name on it!" she pointed at Sirius. "How else would you have wanted me to react?! Carefully put away your belongings and take a nice slow walk out of the-"

Snape had unmistakeable anger in his voice, "Enough! I've told the headmaster again and again that you're helping your old friend Black into the castle, Lupin! Told him about you too, Miss Black! and here's the proof. Not even I dreamed you would have the nerve to use this old place as your hideout-"

"Severus, you're making a mistake," Remus huffed urgently. "You haven't heard everything- I can explain- Sirius is not here to kill Harry-"

"Two more for Azkaban tonight," said Snape, his eyes now gleaming fanatically. "I shall be interested to see how Dumbledore takes this.... He was quite convinced you were harmless, you know, Lupin... a tame werewolf, and M-"

Sirius gritted his teeth, "You keep my daughter's name-"

Remus, just as upset as Sirius for the same reasons, cut him off before he could say something stupid. "You fool! Is a schoolboy grudge worth putting an innocent man back inside Azkaban?" he said to Snape.

Suddenly a loud sound was heard, making everyone jump. Thin ropes made their way out of Snape's wand and around Remus' mouth, wrists, and ankles, causing him to fall to the ground. Maia let out a gasp and her eyes widened, as Sirius let out a cry of anger and darted towards Snape. He was stopped by Snape's wand landing right between his eyes.

"No!" Maia cried out.

"Give me a reason," Snape muttered. "Give me a reason to do it, and I swear I will."

Nobody moved. Harry, Hermione, and Ron were all paralyzed with fear and confusion. Maia tensed with the thoughts in her head. It was silent, all you could hear was the rustling of "Scabbers" trying to get out of Ron's grasp. Hermione was the first to speak up.

"Professor Snape- it it wouldn't hurt to hear what they've got to say, w- would it?" Hermione said with a soft voice.

"Miss Granger, you are already facing suspension from this school," Snape gritted. "You, Black, Potter, and Weasley are out-of-bounds, in the company of a convicted murderer and a werewolf. For once in your life, hold your tongue."

Maia began to raise her voice. "For once in your life- listen to what someone-"

"Keep quiet, you stupid girl!" Snape's voice boomed, before he turned his face back to Maia's father. "Vengeance is very sweet," Snape looked just about insane at this. "How I hoped I would be the one to catch you...."
