That's right. I noticed that the deeper we went into the deserted island, the warmer it seemed. This puzzled me. "Could there be a volcano on this island?" I didn't dwell on it because, after solving the cold problem, we were eager to explore the wreckage of the plane.
"I think there must be a lot of useful supplies in the plane. We should be able to find metal plates, then cut bamboo and make a bamboo raft to sail out to sea!" Peggy said with enthusiasm.
I found her idea very appealing, although I was a bit reluctant to leave this island. Life felt quite happy here. "The starry sky is bright tonight, and the weather should be clear tomorrow. Let's go take a look tomorrow!" I decided, and everyone looked forward to it. Only Qianyi seemed absent-minded.
She said she wouldn't go, preferring to stay in the cave and guard the home. These days she seemed distracted, often liking to go out alone. We guessed she might have suffered a blow, but we didn't pay much attention and agreed to her request. With so many people, her absence wouldn't make a difference.
I felt sentimental about Qianyi, and despite her doing less work, I still took care of her as before. Unexpectedly, the one we ignored took advantage of our absence from the cave and did something that made us regret it. This incident triggered a series of changes, bringing trouble and disputes.
The next morning, we set out towards the west of the deserted island. The girls were in high spirits, collecting cold-resistant wild fruits and vegetables. Their youthful vigor reminded me of a saying: "Where there are chickens and ducks, there is much manure; where there are women, there is much laughter!" How fitting!
Amidst their laughter and chatter, holding hands and walking together, it felt like we were on an outing. I remembered the saying, "Be cautious where there are women," and felt a bit wary. I constantly reminded them to be careful and stayed vigilant myself, fearing the presence of fierce predators. In winter, when food is scarce, hunters from other areas might migrate here. Although I noticed that many carnivores were migrating towards the deeper parts of the deserted island, caution was still necessary.
Fortunately, the journey was uneventful, and we soon reached the western coast. The wreckage of the plane was sprawled across the forest, covered in a thick layer of rust on its metal shell, entwined with plants. The fan blades were made of a special alloy, exuding an aura of weathered experience.
"This plane doesn't look like it crashed recently. It's been many years," I exclaimed, surprised that the plane I initially thought had recently crashed turned out not to be.
I didn't know much about planes, but from the appearance, it seemed more advanced, not like planes from the Second World War, possibly from the past ten or twenty years. Apart from the Japanese, who could have encountered trouble here?
