The next morning, I eagerly stepped out of the cave to see if the blizzard had stopped. To my disappointment, there was no sign of the storm letting up; instead, it intensified, raging fiercely across the sky and land. The snow accumulation had increased by several feet.

Seeing the cave entrance completely sealed by snow, I felt a sense of unease. Our cave was situated at a higher elevation, and now more than half of the entrance was blocked by snow. If this continued, our cave entrance might be entirely sealed by tonight.

Fortunately, our luck held out last night. If the snow had been this thick yesterday, we might have been buried in it by now. The snow started out soft, but after some time, it would turn into a hard layer of ice. When that happened, even an axe wouldn't be able to break through, and the result could be getting trapped in the cave, facing the risk of starvation or suffocation.

I wryly smiled, realizing that we were faced with a new task – clearing the snow. We needed to swiftly clear the snow at the cave entrance. As for tools, we only had one military shovel, which was barely enough. However, we still needed to make some additional tools, unfortunately, putting more physical strain on the girls.

During the morning meeting, I assigned the snow-clearing task to them and ventured out of the cave again. I needed to find some food. It was the second day of the blizzard, and the forest had become even more desolate. I couldn't find any insects, and the vibrant forest from yesterday, where I caught the bugs, was now completely depleted. Considering our large group, the amount of insects we needed to consume was significant.

That day, I trudged through the snowy landscape but returned empty-handed. Fortunately, Su Jie managed to catch two fish from the cave's spring, and we had some preserved meat, so our food situation should be fine for the time being. In the evening, as we discussed plans for the next day, we contemplated how to endure this storm.

We remained hopeful, having overcome various challenges on this deserted island before. This time wouldn't be an exception. However, little did we realize that a massive danger was silently approaching. Due to the heavy snow, our forest attracted an unexpected guest.

Possibly due to fatigue, I slept soundly that night. When I woke up in the morning, I found the other girls were already up and had prepared breakfast. It felt great to wake up to beautiful women serving hot food. After finishing breakfast, feeling refreshed, I quickly put on my snow-resistant clothing and headed outside.

I hoped for better luck today! Watching the swirling snowflakes, I silently wished for a change in our fortune. It was the third day of the blizzard, and such a severe storm should be rare on this small island. If these intense snowfalls were an annual occurrence, I wondered how the dense vegetation and numerous creatures survived during the warm periods – it was truly unimaginable.

Trekking through the vast expanse of white in the midst of the blizzard was quite challenging. Even more exhausting was the realization that all your efforts might yield nothing. Following the route from memory, I attempted to find the hot spring I had visited before, hoping to discover some food in that warm area. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate the path to the hot spring. The snow accumulation was too deep, burying the landmarks in my memory. I even began to suspect that the entrance to that valley might have already been covered by snow.
