On the way back to Katie's, you decide to text Lucy.

to Steven and Leanne.

There's no need Katie's
with me. See you soon x

On the walk back you hold onto Katie's hand twisting her ring with your finger. "Auntie katie, if Lucy wants to give me up can I stay with you, I really can't go back there." You beg dragging your feet behind you to slow the time down before you have to face Lucy.

"That's not going to happen kiddo, but if anything ever did then of course I'd look after you, I love you so much but also your mum and Leah love you too so it won't happen." She says ruffling your hair with her free hand.

As you walk up the drive you let go of Katie placing both your hands in your hoodie. Once Katie opens the door you see Lucy sprinting towards you and instantly picking you up and spinning you around. "Don't ever run off again. I was worried sick, I already lost my baby girl once I can't loose her again." She says to you kissing your head.

All you can manage to get out is "I love you lucy, I messed up." Your statement broke her.

She quickly carry's you inside. Leah gives you a worried look seeing how bloody your hands are. You shake your head trying to get her to be quiet about it.

"what happened sweetie, Katie can you get me some antiseptic wipes please, I don't want it to get infected." She says frantically walking towards you and Lucy.

Lucy turns to look at Leah. "what do you need that for what's going on." She questions. You feel her heart racing as you lean your head towards it before nuzzling your head into her armpit so disappointed in yourself. Lucy tried to put you down but you don't let go tightening your grip as much as you can causing the blood from your knuckles to drip down your hands. Leah unhooks your hands and pulls you towards her.

You hear Lucy gasp. "sh*t how did that happen," she gently rubs your back as small sobs fill up the silence. "Y/n bronze what happened." You don't speak and start to shake your head continuously. You just look up at Katie.

" i caught up to y/n but she was punching a wall, she wouldn't stop so I had to drag her away" she says with soft eyes and a quick reassuring nod.

You look next to you to see Lucy whose jaw is basically touching the floor. The guilt instantly sets in causing tears to flood from your eyes. You know how broken you are. You can't help it you have so many emotions running through your head.

LUCY POV

Seeing y/n in that state breaks you. You feel your heart aching as if it's just shattered into a millions pieces. Years of guilt set into your mind, you know you've failed her as a mother, you should have just quit playing to look after your baby girl but you where selfish.  You feel a warm pair of hands on your shoulder slowly pulling you back and away from your thoughts as they turn you around and engulf you in a hug. It's the comfort you didn't realise you needed. Alessia whispers into your ear. "This isn't your fault lu, I can see you blaming yourself. You've saved her now and we are all here to support you." You lift your head up to check on y/n and see her hands being treated by Leah. Your so grateful for her.

You rest your head back down on alessia's shoulder before whispering, "I've failed as a mother."

Alessia pulls you backwards to look at you. "you have not Lucy. I think this is beyond anyone's control she needs help." She suggests rubbing her hand down your back.
