Lindsey came into the bedroom and couldn't hold back a laugh. "You look ridi..." Stevie shot him a look, letting him know he shouldn't continue. "You look interesting..."

"Nana looks pretty." Lynn said, as she was currently attempting to braid Stevie's hair. She also really appreciated not being called grandma anymore, it made her feel as if she was eighty years old.

"Of course she does, sweetie. She always looks pretty." Lindsey chuckled, laying down on the empty side of the bed.

Stevie was doing her best to sit still and not wince every time Lynn tugged at her hair too hard. "Shouldn't you be on your way to pick up Alice from school?"

"Taylor went, he received a call about a house he was interested in buying, he said it was on the way to Alice's school."

Lindsey had been living in the house for the past two or three weeks since that Christmas night and things were wonderful, but Stevie knew she had to tell him about the tour and soon, but she was afraid to. She didn't want to ruin any of what they had rebuilt. She began wondering whether leaving was the best thing.

"Steph?"

"What?"

"Did you hear anything I just said?"

"I... Sorry." She half smiled, apologizing. "I was somewhere else. What were you saying then?"

"I thought we could go out tonight, just the two of us? Like a date night."

"I don't know."

"Oh? Why's that?"

"Well, we're not anything really and I don't want people to start talking."

Lindsey sighed, closing his eyes for a second. "We're still not anything? Stevie, I've practically been living with you."

"Because I let you. I want you here with me, Lindsey, but don't get me wrong, we're not a couple."

"So, I'm only good for warming your bed at night?"

"Lindsey..."

"No, I want to know? What do I have to do? What does it take for us to become something?"

"Not now." Stevie said, looking over at Lynn. The girl had lost interest and Stevie went to the bathroom to grab a hairbrush, as her hair was all knotted.

"You're avoiding me."

"Yes, I am. Come on, Lynn. It's nap time."

"I don't want to!" She pouted, crossing her arms.

"You have to, baby. Every girl needs her beauty sleep."

"So I'm pretty like you?"

Stevie got down to Lynn's level, kissing her cheek. "Prettier."

Half an hour later, despite saying she didn't want to, Lynn was sleeping soundly, after Stevie sang to her, stroking her hair. Walking out of the room, Stevie almost literally bumped into Lindsey, which wasn't surprising to her at all. She sighed, going back to the bedroom, with him following.

"I said I wasn't going to push you, but Stevie..."

"What? I told you right from the beginning that this won't be easy and it will take me some time."

"But it's already been months."

"Not even three months passed, Lindsey. This is not something you get instantly just because you want to. This is up to me and you said you were fine with it."

"Yeah, you have to take all the time in the world to decide if you want to be with me, but it took you non at all to realize you were desperate to have sex with me."
