CHAPTER 1

Chapter 1: Blaise’s introduction

BLAISE A. MONTAGUA’S POV

I WOKE up with a gently shaking on my shoulder. My sleep was mababaw lang that’s why I woke up right away. Kahit siguro ingay ay maririnig ko rin.

“Oh, Mommy?” My mother sat on my bed and immediately greeted me with her sweet smile. She touched my cheek and caressed it. She’s beautiful and her hand is so warm. I like the way she did that.

“Get up, baby girl. Today is your first day in college, right?” I nodded with my Mom’s question. Oh, that... exciting moment na matagal ko nang hinihintay.

Today is my first day in school as a first year college. I am still excited for this day. Halos wala nga akong tulog last night, sa naisip ko na magiging life ko being a college student. I got up and even hugged my mom. I felt her kiss on my head. Gusto ko palagi ang maglambing sa Mommy ko.

“Good morning, Mommy,” I greeted her and kissed her cheek. I heard her chuckles softly. Because I hugged her and parang wala nga akong plans na bumangon para mag-ready na pumasok sa school namin.

“Come on, baby. Get up already,” she said and I nodded. She kissed my forehead once again.

My Mom wasn’t satisfied and she already pulled my hand, so I finally got up from bed. Ayayay, I want to cuddle with her all the time.

“Take your time, baby girl. You still have a lot of time. Get down right away, will ’ya?” she uttered and I nodded.

“Okay po, Mommy,” I answered before siya lumabas sa room ko.

Pinasadahan ng mga daliri ko ang buhok kong may pagkakulot ang dulo nito. Umabot ito hanggang baywang ko pero pretty naman siyang tingnan. Kasi natural naman, eh.

Binuksan ko ang door ng bathroom ko and I went inside. Malaki ito because I have my own swimming pool on the left side and a bathtub naman sa right side. Pink and light color of its structure. Tho this is just a simple bathroom of mine.

I took my pajamas off and folded it first then put it in my basket. Hinubad ko na rin ang underwear ko at tumapat sa malamig na shower. Binuksan ko ito. The cold water was pouring down my naked body. I got my body wash and my shampoo too. I didn’t take my shower long either dahil binilisan ko lang ang mga kilos ko. I don’t want to be late naman.

Kinuha ko ang puting tuwalya ko sa pinaglalagyan nito and wrapped it all over my body. My walk-in closet connects to my bathroom so I go straight there. Seeing my uniform is finally ready made me smile. I know my Mom prepared this for me too. She’s so sweet as ever. That’s why I love her, so much.

My skirt is dark blue and the blouse is white with a necktie on the top. May coat din ako. I put that on and wrapped the towel in my hair.

Umupo ako sa vanity mirror ko at kinuha ko ang hair blower then pinatuyo ko na ang buhok ko. Nilagyan ko lang ito ng maliit na pink hair clip.

Since college student na nga ako ay nag-apply pa ako ng light make up and my pink lipstick. Kinuha ko na rin ang brown shoulder bag ko na may branch na signature. Si Mommy ang nagturo sa akin how to put my make-up on my face.

Bumaba na rin ako, kasi alam ko na nandoon na sa dining area namin ang parents ko and my two big brothers, and hindi na nga ako nagkamali pa. Kompleto na sila roon and it seems they are waiting for me. Hindi naman sila nababagot dahil sanay na sila sa akin.

Sumimsim ng coffee si Kuya Blaike nang mapatingin siya sa gawi ko. Pinanliitan pa niya ako nang tingin. Pinasadahan niya ang suot kong uniform.

“Blaise? Bakit ang ikli naman ng uniform mo?” seryosong tanong nito. As expected ay pupunahin talaga nila.
