Marcus P.O.V.

I wake up and I'm in shambles. I have a throbbing headache and my arms hurt. I won't even mention my spine because I can't even move my body. I groan and take the phone, realising it's 11 o'clock.

I head to bathroom to freshen up and Dorian greets me.

"Hey, little boy", I coo, taking him in my arms and he licks my cheek.

"Eeww", I make a face and I peer into the room.

Jay turns to the door and smiles at me. I return the smile and put a finger on my lips because Daisy is asleep.

"Come, my lad."

He nods and gets off the bed. I put the cat down and take Jay in my arms.

"Morning uncle."

"Good morning, sunshine."

"Do you need any help?"

"I can do everything by myself, but brush teeth. I'll tell you when to come."

I nod and put him down, ruffling his curls.

As he closes the door, I step into Daisy's room and sit on the edge of the bed.

I don't know what attracted me to her. She's pretty, alright, but she's not the girl I thought I would fall in love with. First, she's white. Alright, it's not about her skin colour, but I dated a white girl and I didn't have much fun. Then, she's an English teacher, her head in the clouds. She can talk a lot. She gets angry without a reason. But, there's something about her. Something that attracted me when I saw her for the first time. I tried to get her off my mind, but I couldn't. I tried to stay away from her, but then she started annoying me. There were certain periods of time when I wanted to fuck her hard, but then I would mentally slap myself and continue with my life. Who would have thought she would be the first one to lend a hand when I needed it the most?

She accepted Jay immediately. Then she lost her job. Then she gave me a place to sleep.

"Marcus?", she asks sleepily and I smile at her.

"Good morning."

"Good morning.", she mumbles, sitting up.

"What time is it?"

"Maybe 11.15, something like that."

"Uncle!", I hear Jay and I stand up.

"I need to help Jay."

She nods and I enter the bathroom as Jay is holding his toothbrush and toothpaste.

"Uncle", he says as the toothpaste foam comes out of his mouth, "Why are you... Weird?"

"What do you mean? Anyway, stop talking now, you'll swallow toothpaste. We'll talk when you've finished."

He nods and I help him brush teeth. As I rinse his mouth, he smiles and runs to the living room.

"Jay.. Hold on.. We're guests here.", I say, kneeling in front of him.

"Try to be careful, alright?"

He nods, pouting.

"What was that pout about?"

"You say that we are guests. But, Daisy treats me well."

"Guests should be treated well."

"No, Uncle. She cares a lot. She's like grandma."

I raise my brows at him and he shrugs. Hell. I have to call my mum. I need to.

"Good morning!", Daisy says as she closes the bathroom door and Jay runs in her arms.

"Did you sleep well?"
