Marcus' P.O.V.

"This should be it.", I say to Daisy as I take my sunglasses off.

"Yeah, even the Maps say so."

"Why are you so quiet today? You didn't talk a lot during the car ride either. Is everything okay?", I ask because I'm really concerned. Wherever you take Daisy, be sure that she will sing and talk during the whole ride, but today she's somewhat distant.

"I'm okay. I really am. It's just that we're here and I'm kind of scared of leaping into the unknown."

"You're not alone anymore. I already told you that when we had this conversation for the first time. Daisy, it'll be alright."

"It's just that I'm afraid that I won't be able to help you as much as I wish."

"Are you talking about money right now? I already told you to stop stressing about it. What I appreciate is that you are willing to work and contribute to our relationship so we can build something together. Also, who says that you won't find a better job in even a month? It's alright, shawty, I won't even allow you to stress over it. You have your online job and the salary is pretty good and I'll have my job which pays well. What is important is that we will be able to live not just survive. There's no reason to measure our salaries now, innit? Don't worry about it. I'll get annoyed if you ever start talking about it again. Is it a deal? "

She nods and I take her into a hug.

"What's up?", I ask softly as I see her tearing up.

"I'm so emotional for some odd reason and I think I'm about to get my period because everything hurts."

"Love.. Why didn't you tell me earlier? We could have stayed in London."

"Because I didn't want to postpone anything, especially because we need to go to Liverpool to show support to your mum. There's no way I'd miss it."

"Aight. But, after we've seen the house, we will go to eat something and you'll take your pill and hopefully be alright. I'm here, yeah?"

"I know and I'm so thankful."

I take her hand in mine as I kiss her.

"We'll come alive."

"We always do. I promise we won't owe money. As soon as we start working, we will give money back. To my mum, your parents, Amara, Darryl."

"We needed to do this. So, this has been the best decision. We will be happier here. I promise."

"Daisy, thank you. Thank you for starting this journey with me."

"Anytime."

I take Dorian because Daisy didn't want to leave him alone for two days and she's actually right. And we also had to choose a flat that is pet friendly because there's no way that we'd leave Dorian behind.

"Miss Whittle? Mr Erastus?"

"Hello, Mr Wilson.", I say and we shake hands.

"So, welcome to Manchester! Where are you from?"

"I'm from Liverpool."

"I'm from Manchester."

"Great!" he says enthusiastically, clapping his hands.

"Let's see the flat, shall we?"

Daisy and I trail behind him as he leads us into the building.

"Let's take the elevator."

As we ascend to the fifth floor, he unlocks the door.

"Welcome!", he exclaims as we walk in the flat.
