Daisy's P.O.V.

Just like seasons change, Marcus and my life changed. We went from storms that were hurting our hearts and souls to sun that has lit up our days. We went to the hood to say goodbye to everyone. Samuel and Blue hugged me so tightly and promised they wouldn't stir any problems. Dejuan and I joked about that night I came to ask for a gun and Dejuan said that I was the only woman (after his wife) that kinda scared him.

Changes that have happened to Marcus are immaculate. He seems happier. He calls his mum, Alisha and Jay every day. We have realised that the key to our successful relationship would be communication. That's why we talk every single day. We openly talk about our feelings, needs, and desires. But, Marcus seems kind of distant tonight. Yes, we're moving tomorrow, we already packed everything, but he's aloof. Dejuan asked him many times if he was alright and he just nodded.

"May I know where we're going?", I ask after some time because I honestly thought we'd go back to the flat once we left the hood.

"It's a... A surprise."

"Well.. I'm not sure if I'm dressed for anything elegant. Maybe we're going to the cinema?", I propose as I check my outfit - white high top All stars, jeans, pink shirt and denim jacket.

It's not like he's dressed smart either, but you can never know with Marcus.

"I'll park here. ", he informs me and I just nod.

As we climb out of the car, I take his hand in mine and he smiles. It's not really a genuine smile, but more of a nervous one.

"What are we doing here?", I ask as we approach the Tower.

"Well.. Erm.. I wanted to bring you here again. Don't you like it?"

"I do, but I'm not sure if I can climb all the stairs. I mean, packing drained me."

"You'll be fine. I can carry you."

"Nah, I'm good."

He laughs. Finally.

As we reach the top and I reach for my backpack to take a bottle of water, I glance at him and he's unnerved.

"Marcus.. Babe.. Is everything alright? Is there something you'd like to tell me?"

"No.. Really. I guess I'm just tired."

After some time that we spend in silence, he takes my hand in his.

I don't even look at him, I just squeeze his hand and continue looking outside.

"Daisy.", he starts and I look at him as he kneels down.

"Oh my fucking days!", I exclaim as I put my hand over the mouth.

"Great. Now all eyes are on us.", he comments and I stare at him in disbelief.

"So.. We had our first date here. I joked about the Christmas lights. They're gone, but you're still here. Even more beautiful than then because you didn't let your colours fade. I contemplated whether I should do this or not, but I've been thinking about my future and you're there. In every aspect of my life. So.. Yeah. Erm.. Will you marry me, mzungu? "

A tear escapes my eye as I nod. Then I laugh because he called me mzungu.

"I will. I will marry you. Anywhere. Anytime."

He puts a ring on my finger as he stands up and I wrap my arms around his waist.

"You're shaking, calm down.", he whispers as he brings me closer to him and I hear clapping.
