Daisy's P.O.V.

My alarm blares and I groan. It's been so long since I heard this noise.

"Jay, my love, wake up."

"No, Daisy", he whines and I bite my lip.

"Alright, five minutes more and then you have to wake up."

I get up and see that Marcus is still sleeping.

I give Dorian his breakfast, putting the kettle on.

"Marcus? Wake up.", I whisper and come closer to him.

"Marcus?", I say as I come closer to him, touching his shoulder.

"Daisy..", he says sleepily, opening his eyes.

"What's up?"

"You need to wake up, we need to take Jay to the kindergarten."

"Okay."

"It's raining.", I frown and Marcus gets up.

How one can look so good in a plain white shirt and pyjama bottoms will never be explicable.

"Like what you see, innit?", he whispers in my ear and I realise there's no space between us.

"I'm up!", Jay says and Marcus smirks at me and I close my eyes for a second to come to my senses.

"Let me help you shower.", he tells him and turns once again to me.

I avoid the eye contact and he closes the door. Good lord. I make toast bread, cheese and bacon for the breakfast.

As I sip my coffee, I hear Marcus asking Jay if he can dress on his own.

"So, morning, fellow date.", he whispers as I am squeezing an orange for Jay's juice.

"Morning to you too.", I whisper as he's standing right behind me.

Suddenly, he pecks my lips and I round my mouth.

"Marcus! Jay's here.", I whisper yell and he chuckles.

"Innit?", he asks and I gulp.

He chuckles, kissing my cheek and Jay appears.

"I'm all ready!"

"Good job, sweetheart!", I say relieved as I push Marcus a bit and he presses his lips together.

As we take him to the kindergarten, I notice he shakes a bit.

"You have nothing to worry about. You're smart and you're friendly. I'm sure you'll make friends here."

"I want to go home, Daisy.", he whispers, playing with a strand of my hair.

"Champ, you'll be with your own people here. You can play, draw, watch cartoons. It'll be okay. Try today and if you don't like it, we'll bring you home and won't force you to go there again."

He debates it and Marcus sighs.

"Also, do you remember Darryl? He asked if you could come to play video games after kindergarten, but he said you needed to go there first. So, what should I tell him?"

"I'll go!"

"Alright, but kindergarten first."

Marcus hugs him and he nuzzles his head into the crook of Marcus' neck.

"Daisy, don't find another best friend, okay?"

"Is it even possible?", I ask him and he hugs me.

"Just be yourself and have fun."
