Chapter 12: The Hag Strikes

Chans POV:

I get up to open the front door thinking it's our food but as soon as the door is open, all I see are flashing lights and people with cameras screaming questions at me.

Some of the questions send me into panick, and I slam the door shut. Immediately running to close and lock all the windows and doors as I pull the curtains shut.

"Chan, what the hell is going on?!" Minho says, rushing towards me.

"Everyone in the basement now. We don't have privacy up here," I whisper.

Once everyone is in the basement, I shut and lock the door. I'm so glad it's soundproof.

"Channie, what's going on?" Felix asks gently.

"The press are outside... they had cameras and were asking questions about... Ji and... his suicide attempt in middle school... Also, about our relationship..." Ji's face immediately pails as I break the news.

"For now, let's not worry. I'll call JYP and our managers to find out what happened. No one, and I repeat, no one is to go on their phones. Am I understood?" I say, pulling my phone out.

Everyone nods, and I call JYP.

JYP: Chan? Thank God you called!

Chan: What's going on?

JYP: Jisungs mother has leaked some information about your relationship and Jisungs pass suicide attempt. We are trying everything we can to take them down, and we will release a statement and hold a press conference. I'm sending someone to your dorm. We are moving you into two separate dorms for now until everything blows over.

Chan: I understand. Please keep us updated... and at all costs, please protect Ji... he's been through enough as it is, and there's something we need to tell you... but not over the phone...

JYP: I'll schedule a meeting for tomorrow evening. We can talk then. And I'll do everything I can to protect all of you.

Chan: Okay, see you tomorrow...

JYP: Bye, Chan, goodnight.

Chan: Goodnight, sir.

I hang up the phone and sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose.

"What'd he say?" Binnie asks.

"Ji's mom leaked info about our relationship and his past suicide attempt... They're doing everything they can to discredit everything. We will release a statement and hold a press conference to clear things up... our manager is coming to move us to a new dorm... two separate dorms until everything blows over... we have a meeting with him tomorrow afternoon to discuss the matter, and we also have to tell him about Ji's pregnancy... what I'm worried about is that we might have to announce everything at the press conference if they can't cover this up..." I say with a big sigh.

Ji waddles over to me and hugs my waist, placing a kiss on my chest.

"It'll be okay... as long as we have each other..." He says, resting his head on my chest.

I wrap my arms around his shoulders and rub his back.

"You're being so strong, baby... I'm proud of you..." I whisper, kissing his head.

"I can't let the inevitable scare me... it's not worth it... if the world is going to find out, though, I want it to be on my terms... not anyone else's..." He sounds so determined... it warms my heart to hear such determination from him.

"I want to protect by baby and boyfriends at all costs, and if I have to reveal my past and also present to do so, then so be it. But I'll only tell them what you agree on. I wouldn't do that to any of you... if you aren't ready to tell people, we can cover everything up... a-and I'll take the hiatus we were planning on. And as an excuse, we can tell them that because of the fight I had with my mother, she spread falls rumors about me and us... and because of the shame and guilt, I decided to take a step back... those are really the only options we have..."
