Or so everyone thought...
"Jisung, my dear child," an ethereal voice called out with such gentleness it made the boy feel like he was surrounded in such comfortable warmth, making him feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.
The boy closed his eyes, bathing in the sunlight that surrounded him as a gentle breeze passed through his slightly long hair.
He smiled as his thoughts were clear for once.
The dark thoughts that once plagued his mind could not be heard. All the emotions he felt prior were no longer suffocating him. He felt light and carefree as he smiled, tilting his chin up and letting the warm sun beam on his face.
"Jisung?" He heard that same ethereal voice call out softly in question.
Jisung opened his eyes slowly and looked in front of him to find a beautiful woman with a kind smile.
"W-who are you?" The boy asked in awe as if he was out of breath.
"I'm the mother of all creatures, the goddess you pray to every night for your mates, your friends, and your children. I have heard your prayers, my child, and I have brought you here to help," she says melodicly as she reaches her hand out to the boy for him to take.
He hesitantly takes her hand and follows the ethereal woman through the meadow of flowers to a bench next to a fountain.
As the fountain flows gently, the sun reflects off of it, making the water glisten like it's made of dimonds. He goes to touch the water before his hand is gently pulled away by the goddess.
"It's not time for that, my child. When you are ready, this fountain will send you back to your family and friends, but if you try to leave before that, you will get lost on the journey and end up in limbo. You must be patient and learn all I have to teach you before you go. The fate of all depends on the timing of you going back," she explains with a smile to the confused looking boy with big eyes.
"But... my mates... my friends, and my babies... the council is after us... I need to be with them," He achingly whispers as he closes his eyes with a single tear escaping.
"If you leave now, the council will find them immediately due to the full power you now possess but do not know how to control. You will put yourself and all your loved one's in more danger than they already are. But if you stay and let me teach you control over your new powers as a demigod and your emotions, you will be able to win in the war that is to come. But it is ultimately up to you... you can either stay and guarantee a future for your family and friends or leave and risk never going back or dying before you even get to meet your children," the goddess explains soft but sternly.
