"I don't even know where to start," Jimin stated, "I've known Kook for 3 years but we only became good friends about 2 years ago. I was his mentor when we were together in Seoul National University. He was a shy student who had just moved to Seoul when I first met him. He got a scholarship to attend Seoul National University and left his life in Busan behind to fulfill his mother's dream," Jimin answered. "He must have been so lonely," Tae observed, "He left everything familiar behind and came to a new city all by himself." "Yes, Bear. He never complained but I could sense his deep sadness and loneliness," Jimin added, "That's why I wanted to befriend him after I met him. Slowly he started making friends and getting involved with the social scene on campus."

"How is Kookie related to Jin hyung and Joon hyung, again?" Tae asked. "Kook is Jin hyung's brother-in-law," Jimin answered cautiously. "So he's related to Joon hyung?" Tae asked, confused by Jimin's answer. "No, Bear," Jimin carefully said while looking at Tae, "Kook married Joon hyung's younger brother, Yugi." "What?! Kookie is married? He has a husband?!" Tae exclaimed in surprise, "Why didn't you tell me sooner Jiminie? Thanks for making me feel stupid." "He WAS married, Tae," Jimin quickly corrected, "Everything was finally going well for him but then suddenly his life changed 4 months ago." Tae looked at his friend even more confused. "Let me tell you about Yugi and Kook," Jimin offered to ease Tae's confusion.

"Kook and Yugi first met at a recital showcase at Seoul National University 6 months ago. Jin hyung had asked me to introduce Kook to Yugi. Jin hyung had met Kook at a prior event and was very impressed by him. So I happily obliged," Jimin said. "So you and Jin hyung played matchmaker?" Tae questioned. "I guess so. We thought they would be good together and they were but destiny had other plans," Jimin continued, "After the showcase, Jin hyung arranged for them to have dinner together. I guess they hit things off. After that they went out on a few dates and quickly became serious about each other. In no time Yugi proposed and Kook accepted." "Sounds like a whirlwind romance!" Tae commented. "Seems like it, doesn't it," Jimin agreed, "They first met each other just 6 months ago and decided to get married 2 months into their relationship."

"Their wedding day was beautiful. Yugi and Kook both looked genuinely happy," Jimin fondly recalled, "That was the first time I saw Joon hyung being emotional. Kook had happy tears all throughout the ceremony while Yugi kept smiling at Kook and wiping away his tears. He deeply adored Kook." "Oh! Kookie must have been so happy," Tae exclaimed. "At the reception Yugi got a phone call. Jin hyung was annoyed that he answered his phone but Yugi assured him that it was important," Jimin said, "Yugi was supervising the new factory construction for Kim Corp. They had just submitted some documents to the local authorities for the final approval before construction could begin. Kook was aware of this so he asked Yugi not to turn his phone off."

"The foreman from the construction company called Yugi and told him that the government inspectors were on their way to the site for an inspection," Jimin continued, "There were no other representatives from Kim Corp on site so they called Yugi since it was an emergency. The reception was held at Joon hyung's countryside estate which was relatively close to the factory construction site. Yugi told Kook about the phone call and he insisted that Yugi go right away. 'Don't ignore your responsibilities for me,' Kook said." Tae noticed that Jimin was starting to get emotional. "Joon hyung was very upset with Yugi for leaving his reception but Kook reassured him that he was the one who asked him to go. Before leaving, Yugi promised that he would be back in a couple hours," Jimin remembered, unable to hold back tears.

Tae handed Jimin a box of tissues and urged him to continue. "After a few hours, all of the guests started to leave. Soon after, Kook became worried because he couldn't get a hold of Yugi," Jimin quietly continued, "Just before everyone could panic, there was a knock on the door. We hoped that it was Yugi but instead it was the police. They informed us that there was a huge accident and they recovered a car and body in the wreck. The car was registered to Yugi and they needed someone from Yugi's family to identify the body." "Oh my God!" Tae whispered, "It should have been the happiest day of his life." Jimin nodded, wiping away the tears that were flowing out of his eyes. "Kook fainted when he heard the police. Jin hyung called a doctor and stayed with Kook while Joon hyung went with the police," Jimin said, "Joon hyung came back after a couple hours looking hopeless. As soon as he saw Jin hyung, he collapsed into his arms and bawled his eyes out. 'He's gone, Jin. He left us,' he kept saying over and over."
