Love Me Again...

Chapter 11: Lonely

It was soon going to be the day before the banquet. Based on his previous experience, Joon knew to stay out of Jin's way before the big event. Jin would always be extrememly stressed before a big event. Joon knew that his husband was going to have a short fuse and would get triggered by the smallest inconveniences.  He made sure to take care of everything else so that all Jin had to do was focus on the banquet preparations. He had already spoken to Soobin to give him a preview of Jin's mood for the following day and even though he had experienced Jin's pre event wrath before, he was thankful for the warning. Joon was confident that Soobin would ensure that Jin would have a relatively stress free day ahead of him. Joon was grateful that Jin had taken care of the tux shopping, one of Jin's favorite pre-event activities. He wanted to make sure that he had a relaxing evening. He made sure to get home before Jin, Kook and Tahee got back.

As soon as he got home, Joon checked in with Mrs Lee to ensure that dinner would be ready quickly. Then he quickly showered and waited for Jin's text. As soon as he got it, he started preparing a hot bath for Jin. He made sure to add the aromatic bath salts that Jin liked to the bath water. He then took a bottle of Jin's favorite wine and kept it ready. He cued up Jin's relaxing playlist and soon enough soft music played in the background. If his past experiences were an indicator, he knew that the next 24 hours would be a rollercoaster of emotions and all he wanted was to try and keep Jin as calm as possible! "Okay, bath check, wine check, calm music check, dinner check," Joon muttered to himself, "Looks like you've finally got everything Joon!" Soon, he heard the lovely voices of his family as they walked in. "Ah! What a day!" Jin sighed as he walked in and sank into the couch. "Dada!" Tahee squealed as he ran into Joon's outstretched arms.

"Come Tahee," Joon urged, "Tonight Dada is going to give you a bath." Jin raised his eyebrows and Jungkook chuckled. "Are you sure you're up for it?" Jin asked suspiciously. "Oh come on Jinnie," Joon chuckled, "You've had such a long day and I just want to spend more time with my munckin." Jungkook quickly understood what Joon was trying to do. "Let me help you with that Joon hyung," Jungkook said as he joined Joon and Tahee. As if on cue, Mrs Lee walked in and announced, "Dinner will be ready shortly." "Seems like everything has been taken care of for the evening," Jin commented, "I'm going to go shower and change then." Jin slowly got up from the couch and headed to his room. Joon and Jungkook exchanged glances and slowly headed towards Tahee's room. "Way to go Joon hyung," Jungkook said as he handed Joon Tahee's towel. "The things I have to do to keep him from starting a rap battle!" Joon sighed dramatically, making Tahee and Jungkook chuckle.

"Did you spray the calming Lavender spray on his pillows?" Jungkook asked while helping dress Tahee. "Not yet," Joon answered, "I kept the bottle by his table so he can use it right before he sleeps." "I'm ready for dinner, Dada," Tahee announced while jumping off the bed. "We'll have dinner soon Baby," Jungkook reassured Tahee. "Remember baby, be nice to Appa tomorrow," Joon reminded, "Don't ask him too many questions. Your Kookie will answer all of your questions, okay." "I know Dada," Tahee said, nodding his head and walking out to the living room. "Kook, please take care of his dinner tonight," Joon pleaded. "Of course Joon hyung," Jungkook agreed, "Don't worry about Tahee. And I'll bring you your dinner in your room." "You're the best Kook!" Joon exclaimed while making his way to his room, "Now let me check on my other baby."

Jungkook quickly showered and changed into comfortable clothes. He made his way to the living room and saw Tahee watching his cartoons on TV. He made his way to the dining room and saw that Mrs Lee was setting the table. "Mrs Lee, Jin hyung and Joon hyung will be having dinner in their room tonight. Can you please prepare a tray? I'll take it up." "Already ahead of you Jungkook," Mrs Lee said, gesturing towards the tray with food on the kitchen counter, "All prepared for you to take." "Thank you Mrs Lee," Jungkook said as he made his way to the kitchen. He picked up the tray and headed towards his hyungs' bedroom. He knocked on the door and waited for a response. He knocked again and when he didn't hear anything, he slowly opened the door and peaked in. There was no one in the room and the bathroom door was closed.
