After dinner, everyone except Jungkook and Tae retired to the living room. "I'm looking forward to the Busan trip," Tae said as he helped Jungkook gather up the plates, "I really want to see where you grew up." "Is that so?" Jungkook asked as he placed all the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. "Of course," Tae countered as helped load the dishwasher, "It's only natural to be curious. Also, I've never been to Busan so it'll be nice to be there with you." "I haven't been back there in a while," Jungkook stated, "But I'll make sure you have a good time." Tae stepped aside as Jungkook turned the dishwasher on. They held hands as they walked to the living room and sat on the couch together. "I was just about to come get you," Jimin teased, "But then I didn't want to see something I shouldn't!" Jin chuckled while Joon and Yoongi tried to hide their smiles. "Oh please! Jiminie, you shouldn't be the one talking!" Tae retorted smirking at his soulmate, "You don't want to get me started!"
"You know Kook, why don't you extend your Busan trip by a couple of days?" Jin suggested, "You guys can do some sightseeing and enjoy yourselves before it starts getting busy." Joon nodded in agreement, "Yes! That's a great idea. You guys deserve some time off after that amazing banquet!" "From what Jimin told me, the banquet was a huge success," Yoongi stated, "That was an excellent suggestion, Tae." "Thank you, Yoongi hyung," Tae said, "I wouldn't mind staying in Busan for a couple more days. I hear it is a wonderful city and it'll be nice to have a mini vacation before SNU is back in session." Jimin clapped with excitement, "Yes! I wouldn't mind a little time off either. Besides Yoongi hyung's schedule is packed all of next week. So I wouldn't mind some time away with my soulmate and Kook!" With all eyes on Jungkook, he couldn't refuse. Jin immediately sent a message to Soobin to extend the Busan stay and make all of the required arrangements.
The friends spent a good portion of the night talking and drinking. Soon it was pretty late, Jin suggested that they all stay over since they had been drinking and they agreed. The Kim house had two spare bedrooms but one had been converted into Jungkook's art studio while the other was a guest bedroom. Jin pulled Jungkook aside and asked him, "Kook, Do you mind sharing your room with Tae tonight? I should have thought about that before forcing them to stay the night." "Don't worry about it Jin hyung," Jungkook replied, "I don't mind sharing my room with Tae hyung." Jungkook led Tae to his room soon after. Meanwhile, Joon ushered Yoongi and Jimin towards the guest room after giving them a change of clothes and wished them a good night. Jin promptly made his way to his room and messaged Jimin - 'Thanks for convincing Yoongi to stay, Chim! Now Kook and Tae get to spend time together! <3' Jimin laughed and replied back - 'You are most welcome Jin hyung!'
"You have a beautiful room," Tae commented as he looked around, "I see why you got so excited about decorating the apartment!" He walked around and stopped in front of a painting of a landscape. "Wow Kookie!" Tae exclaimed taking in the scenery, "This is so beautiful. The colors, the scene, it's so serene. Who is the artist? Where did you get this from?" "I painted it," Jungkook said as he stood beside Tae watching the change in his reaction. "You made this?" Tae cried out, unable to hide his shock, "I know you're a talented singer but now you're an amazing artist as well. Incredible!" "Come with me," Jungkook whispered as he held onto Tae's hand and led him to his art studio. "Kookie!" Tae mumbled as he looked at the paintings scattered all around the room, "This is amazing! Can I pick a few of these for the apartment, only if you don't mind?" Jungkook laughed and nodded, "Sure Tae hyungie! Take whatever you want." "Kookie, you never cease to amaze me," Tae muttered as he hugged him. After Tae was done carefully appraising all of the paintings, they made their way back to Jungkook's room.
Jungkook gave Tae one of his oversized t-shirts and some shorts to change into. Tae quickly changed in the bathroom and loved how comfortable the clothes were. He came out and saw that Jungkook had set up a couple pillows and blankets on the couch. "Is that for me?" Tae asked, walking up to the couch. "Oh no Tae hyungie," Jungkook replied, "It's for me. I'll sleep on the couch. You can take the bed." Tae glanced at the bed and said, "Kook, there's no way I'm letting you sleep on this couch. Either we both sleep on the bed or none of us sleeps on the bed." Jungkook hesitated and then slowly gathered up the pillows and blankets and placed them back on the bed. "You win," he said as he sat at the end of the bed. Tae sat beside him and held his hand. "Do I make you uncomfortable, Kookie?" Tae asked, looking into his eyes. "Not at all, Tae hyungie," Jungkook replied, "Why do you ask?" "You seemed a bit hesitant to share the bed with me," Tae truthfully answered, "Kookie, I don't want you to feel uneasy."
