The next day Yin woke up early. Tomorrow...is her birthday!!

A/N: a quick note! I forgot to mention that the turtles are seventeen.

Yin walks out from the dojo, carrying the pillows and blankets back into April's room. She has this goofy grin on her face and she can't hold it back!

"Morning, Yin. Why you smiling like that?" Donnie is the first one out of the four to wake up.

"Tomorrow is my birthday~!" Yin squeaked. "I'm excited!"

"Awesome! How old will you be?"

"Seventeen", she grinned. "Although I pretty much never celebrated, I'm always happy because that day was made for me."

Donnie smiled, "yeah, that's a way to look at it. Well, then, we might as well start planning on what to do to make it special, eh?"

Yin's eyes shined. "Really? Like what?"

"Whatever you want!" he replied as the two walked to the kitchen. "I'll ask Mikey to help since he's an expert party planner. And April too."

"Cooooool!" Yin was giddy with excitement as she sat down. "What's on today's menu?"

"What do you feel like having?" Donnie asked.

"Honestly? Steamed rice with fish", Yin replied at last.

"Great! It's one where I won't burn the kitchen down", he joked as he prepared stuff. "Soooo, how ya liking it here so far?"

"I'm getting used to it quicker than I thought", she replied. "The only thing that sucks is I'm still having shitty sleeping patterns."

"Oh. Bad ones?"

"Yup", she frowned. "There's only been twice where I've had a decent sleep!"

"Aw, gee, I'm sorry. I wish there was something I can think of that can help you." He got the rice going. "Preference on fish?"

"Eh, surprise me", she shrugged. "I don't care."

She watches Donnie grab some tuna. All this food is making her hungry! Yin looks over her shoulder and sees the others and Splinter walking in.

"Morning!" Yin beamed.

"What's got you all peachy?" Raph yawned.

"Tomorrow is my birthday!!"

"What? Sweet! Now we have to celebrate!" Mikey declared. "How old, if I may know?"

"Seventeen", she chuckled. "Donnie told me that you and April can plan things out?"

"Of course! Even though we're allowed to go up to the surface in the daytime, it still feels weird. I might do it later afternoon. I'll hit up April now!" He grabs his T-Phone and starts texting right away.

"Happy early birthday, Yin", Splinter said warmly. "Tomorrow we'll all take the day off to celebrate!"

"Awesome news!" Mikey shouted. "Later today April and I are gonna go out and get stuff! And...gifts! And you three are coming!"

"Great!" Donnie said.

"Alright", Leo replied, looking forward to the outing.

"I don't have a say in this. Do I?" Raph frowned.

"Nope!" Mikey grinned.

"Alright, breakfast is ready", Donnie announced, passing out plates.

Yin was actually talking and chatting with all of them this time. She was so psyched! After everyone was done eating and they all went to the dojo. Stretches, all the good stuff! Now it was training time.
