-PRESENT, SAME NIGHT-
Leo and Yin thought they would never find Splinter, hoping that the others would. But under a pile of debris...Yin's sharp eyes spotted him.
"Sensei!!" Yin cried, running over, instantly throwing debris every which way.
"Splinter!" Leo gasped, instantly helping Yin. "We're here! We're gonna get you out."
Splinter's eyes opened slightly, weakly smiling. "My son, Yin... A-Are the others...alright?"
"Yes, they're fine", Yin's voice shook, her hands and knuckles beginning to bleed. "Don't move too much, you'll be fine...!"
A few minutes later, the guys and the Mutanimals found them and they all began to help. Yin struggled, but she pulled Splinter out when the debris was loose enough. She dropped to her knees, his head resting in her lap.
"Sensei?" Yin shook him gently, her anxiety growing. "Sensei!"
Splinter coughed and opened his eyes slightly again. "Yin. My sons, the Mutanimals. You're all...you're all here."
Yin bit the inside of her cheek to stop crying. "O-Of course, we are! Come on-we need to leave and go back home-."
"I'm afraid...it's too late." He winced, holding his stomach, indicating that he'd been stabbed.
"Don't say that!" Yin snapped, instantly putting pressure. "We just have to stop the bleeding before we-!"
"Yin, look at me." Splinter's voice came out as strong as always, but she could tell that it was failing. "You've been wonderful, dear child... Y-You...you're like a loving daughter to me. I will-...always love you. Everyone..." His sides heaved and his eyes closed.
Yin instantly tried to find a pulse. "I... I found a pulse, but it's very weak..."
"Then we waste no more time." Leo's voice hardened. "Mutanimals, we must leave immediately."
They bid everyone goodbye and parted ways. On the way back home, Yin and the turtles didn't say anything to one another. Neither of them could when their beloved sensei is on the brink of death!
Back at the lair Donnie went into his lab with Splinter and shut the door, needing all concentration to try to save his life. The others went to their separate rooms. Raph tries to drown out his thoughts with music, Mikey tried to read a book, Leo stared at the ceiling. Yin changed into pajamas and buried herself under her blankets and sobbed into her pillow.
She's sobbed until she couldn't cry anymore tears. Yin was still in the act of crying-but no tears were being produced. Then she heard the shuffle of three pairs of footsteps coming to her room.
Leo, Mikey, and Raph all walked inside, looking that they've been crying themselves. They all surrounded her and gave her a long hug. Which...she started to cry-with tears-all over again. In fifteen minutes...they fell into a much-needed peaceful sleep. They were a cuddle pile.

Donnie got his things all set up. Splinter was on the table, Donnie well aware of his life being on the line. Bleeding under control. Stitching, cleaning the wound, dressing it. Even patching it up! There was one time where he flat-lined...but he managed to bring him back to life.
That whole stressful event took about five hours. And-Donnie didn't rest until the job was complete. Looking for the others he found them all in Yin's room on her bed all asleep. He smiled gently and shut the door softly. He'll tell them when they all wake up.
A/N: a short but sweet ending one!
