-PRESENT-

Everyone woke up the next day after a well sleep. Yin felt okay, but she didn't feel all that much better. It's a 'no better, no worse' kind of deal! For breakfast Mikey made Ramen. Thankfully she still had her appetite! It smelled too good.

"Are you gonna watch us train, Yin?" Mikey asked as he sat down.

"Yeah, I'll still probably watch, but I might make fun of you guys if you look like dorks" Yin snickered.

"Not me!" Mikey protested. "I'm the cutest one out there!"

Yin rolled her eyes and laughed, playing along. "That's right! What was I thinking?"

"Today, my sons, we'll train in fighting with weapons you've never fought with before. And no, not each other's", Splinter added.

"Ooooooh, this'll be worth a thousand laughs" Yin gleamed.

Yin sat in front of the tree, watching the scene take place. Splinter gave Leo the wakizashi, Donnie got the kanabo, Raph got a simple dagger, and Mikey got a makeshift rope dart like Yin.

"I gave you all weapons similar to your own, but they are different altogether", Splinter began. "Notice how they look, how they move. Their intentions, design. Any weapon is great. Each one of you will attack me one at a time. Hajime!"

Yin watched in eager excitement as the turtles tried out the new weapons. Leo, Donnie, and Mikey all did exceptionally well. Raph was the only one who struggled.

"Woohoo! That was great", Yin cheered. "Especially you, Raph, the part where you ate shit."

Leo and his two other brothers got into a heckling fit while Raph sent them a glare to shut them up. He next looked at Yin with murder in his eyes. Yin just grinned and waved her hand, winking at him.

"Again!" Splinter's strong voice rang out. "And this time...no mercy."

"You sure, Sensei?" Donnie questions. "This seems a little unfair, don't you think?"

"Hajime!"

And the turtles went at it again. This time, they all struggled as a whole since new weapons surrounded them wherever they went, getting used to it. They did the drill for another half hour and they were given a five minute break.

Yin was busy reading the book that Splinter gave her, and she was listening to music as well. The turtles were in their own circle, seeing that Yin was preoccupied and didn't want to be disturbed. She felt eyes on her, she didn't know who, but she didn't care. She'll save them the embarrassment of getting caught!

"Ooooh", Yin's eyes landed on a picture of the Sistine Chapel. "That's pretty."

Donnie listened to his brothers' conversation, but his mind was thinking about other things too. He's over April, although it took forever for him to. With Yin? She's a pretty girl and has amazing talent, but he doesn't like her like that. He thought he did. But nope! Best to stay friends.

Mikey is sort of thinking the same thing. He's never liked anyone before, and feelings are a complicated story for themselves! He thinks Yin is very pretty. Whenever she smiles at him or laughs at a stupid joke he made, he can't help but feel like he's on Cloud Nine.

Raph? He's a complicated book. He doesn't show emotion well, but whenever he stares at Yin, even if it's only for a few short moments, his chest feels funny and he has to look away. He's a stubborn soul...but one who's learning to deal with emotions the right way.
