"Hey, how was the date?"

Ignoring Jordan, I tossed my purse onto the counter and stormed over to the fridge. When I couldn't find what I was looking for, I slammed the door shut and growled. "Why don't we have any fucking beer in this goddamn apartment, Jordan? We need beer for parties, lounging, and when I am about to fucking chase a certain woman down the street and bash the bottle over her head!"

He raised his eyebrows. "So I take it the double date didn't go very well."

"Oh, shove your head up your ass, why don't you."

He laughed. "Come on, grumpy. Talk to Jordan."

I crossed my arms over my chest. "No you hurt my feelings."

"You told me to shove my head up my ass."

I uncrossed my arms. "Fair enough."

Suddenly there was a knock on the door, and I trudged back over. "What do you want?" I snapped when I opened the door.

Jenna sighed and held out a cell phone. "You left this in my car." I stared at my phone before trying to grab it, but Jenna pulled it away. "Give me a chance to try and fix whatever happened back at the strip club and you can have it back."

"I want to go to a strip club," Jordan whined.

"How's that head-shoving going, dickweed?" I asked.

"Great, all things considered. I'm just gonna go in the other room."

Everything was silent again and Jenna set her hands on my hips. "Look, I'm so sorry, Tay. I know we aren't dating, but I shouldn't be purposely flaunting other girls in front of you. I just need you to respect that I can see other people."

"I'm having a hard time respecting that."

"Then at least pretend to respect it.

I narrowed my eyes at her. "Fine."

"Okay, second: I know I got super upset about the lap dance thing which was stupid. It was my idea, and she gets paid to dance. That's her thing. I know we aren't technically dating, and maybe I do have real feelings for you, I'm not sure. All I know is that I didn't like seeing someone else be close to you like that. I should be the only one who ever makes you feel turned on like that."

"Oh, really?"

"I want to be the only one who does. But you're you, and you're fucking amazing. I don't know how you aren't with someone else. There are so many people out there that are better than me, and you should be with them instead..." As I tried to say something back, she handed me my phone and walked away.

"You better go after her and apologize," Jordan said. I turned to see him standing in the kitchen. I slid my phone in my pocket and groaned. Then I was running out of the apartment and down the stairs. The door to the apartment building had just closed, and I could see Jenna running her fingers through hair as she walked to her car.

"Jenna, wait," I called, pushing open the door. She stopped and looked at me. "Look...I'm sorry. I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean to blow up on you. I'm just sick of being the only open one here. I never know how you feel. And I don't know anything about you. This could be normal, but I wouldn't know that."

She gave a shy smile. "Maybe we should get to know each other better. I mean...we can still kiss and...other things..." We both let out nervous laughs. "We should just spend more time getting to know each other. And how about next date, it's just you and me?"

I smiled. "N-next date?"

"If it's not a problem, I'd like to take you out to a nice restaurant." She stepped closer to me and looped her fingers in my belt loops. "And maybe we could go back to my place and talk some more. We could sit in the chairs on the patio and look at the stars. Anything you want, Tay... I should probably go."
