nico and I waited outside the back door for awhile till the girls showed up. eeadow ran up to nico and gave him a hug, he pressed his lips to her forehead making meadow blush. I looked at emma, she looked beautiful as always. her eyes locked with mine, I walk closer to her and press a soft kiss to her lips. "did you miss me rowdy?" she asks with a smirk, my lips crash into hers once more. "Yes" kiss "I" kiss "Did." I mumble making her blush, I love how her cheeks turn red and her dimples form when she smiles. "okay lovebirds, lets go." nico says holding the door open for meadow as she walks inside. emma looks up at me once more with a smile before walking inside, I grab her hand as we walk inside the arena. I decided that tonight I'm going to tell emma that I want to be her boyfriend, I've been thinking about it for a while now and I've made up my mind. although it scared me more than words could describe, I want to make her mine.
"here." I say, handing emma my jersey. "thank you rowdy, I really need to buy one for myself." she chuckles. "you can keep mine, I want you in my jersey forever." I say making her smile once more, I look into her eyes and tuck a strand of hair behind her ears. "you're so beautiful bryant." I whisper into her ear. "you better get me a goal tonight, or maybe I'll cheer for Boston." emma smirks, I shake my head. "you wouldn't dare." our faces are just inches apart from one another, she looks down at my lips before back into my eyes. I press my lips to hers once more before she walks into the bathroom to change. meadow soon joins her leaving me and nico alone, he has a smirk on his face. "shut up."

the loud horn went off and we all skated onto the ice surface, the first person I spotted was emma who cheered when I skated past her. I couldn't help but admire her, she is effortlessly beautiful and it was driving me insane. she wasn't just beautiful on the outside but also on the inside, uh-oh i'm falling in love.
we ended up losing the game 4-3 in overtime, we haven't played that shitty in awhile and everyone was pissed. after the game i planned to do something special for emma, i wanted to take her out to the resteraunt just down the street because we haven't gone out yet. i sent emma a quick message letting her know to meet us outside of the locker room.

after i finished getting un-dressed i made my way out of the locker room and into the back lobby, i saw emma standing there alone. she noticed me walking towards her and ran over to me wrapping her arms around my neck. "you played amazing rowdy, it's just one loss!" i couldn't help but smile, i lean in and press a quick kiss to her lips. "now bryant, i think it's time i take you out on a date." i tell her with a smirk, a bright smile forms on her lips. "i like this jack, he's very sweet!" i smile, i grab her hand intertwining our fingers and the two of us walk towards the exit.

once we entered the underground parking lot i dropped emma's hand and quickly ran over to the passanger side door to open it for emma. she gave me a soft smile before hooping into the car. on the way to the resteraunt I let emma be in-charge of the playlist, I already knew that she'd play taylor swift. just like I said the first song which came on was 'cruel summer', little did she know that this was one of my favorite taylor songs. "fever dream high in the quiet of the night, you know that I caught it." she sings, I look over and smile in her direction. "bad, bad boy shining toy with a price, you know that I bought it." I sing, i watch her laughing from the passanger side.
not that long after we arrived at the resturaunt, I quickly hop out of the car to open her door for her once again. "wow! in a world of boys he's a gentleman!" emma says with a bright smile, she steps out of the car and intertwines our fingers before walking inside. we approched a young lady at the front of the resteraunt, she stared at me for awhile she most likley reconized me. "reservation for hughes." I say causing her eyes to widen, . "jack! oh my god it's been forever." I glance over at emma who luckly kept her cool, although I could tell she was upset by the way her nose twitched. "I'm sorry, I don't think I know you-" before I could finish speaking the girl cut me off. "It's Clara! Maddie's sister." my heart dropped when she mentioned her name, the last thing I needed was a reminder of Maddie. "oh, uhm could we get our table now?" I tell her sturnly, her smile fades away. she rummages through stuff on her front desk and grabs two menus. "follow me" we do as she says and follows her to the booth in the very back of the resteraunt, I glance over at emma and meet her longing gaze but she breaks eye contact almost right away. we take a seat facing each other from across the table, clara leaves shortly after handing us our menus. there was an awkward silence for a minute and it was killing me, the moment maddies name was mentioned something about her mood changed and honestly same with mine. "are you okay?" I ask her, her eyes lock with mine from across the table. "i'm fine." i could tell she wasn't and as hard as she tried i could tell that it pissed her off. "not your not em, talk to me." I say with a slight smile, she takes a deep breath before speaking. "jack, do y-you still love her?" emma barely gets the words out, I reach for her hand. it broke me to see her this hurt, I thought I loved maddie but the more I think of it the more I realize how toxic we were and how manpulative she was. "no emma, I promise you." although a part of me still had feelings for maddie, I only want emma now. "emma bryant, will you be my girlfriend?"
