i couldn't sleep at all, i was nervous for my first day at work. i've modeled before but it's different this time, i'm getting paid a lot of money and i'm modeling for vouge! isabella comforted me and insured me that everything will be okay, she'll drive me to work and back but still i'm scared i wouldn't fit in.
after tossing and turning i gave up trying to fall asleep, i grab my phone from my bedside table and facetimed jack. the phone diled for a bit until jack's sleepy face popped up on my screen, he yawned and dragged his hands down his face. "hey bryant, you okay?" jack asks me, i nod my head but jack could tell i was lying. "is it about the big day tomorrow, you'll be okay em." when he said it i really did believe him. "but what if i don't fit in, this was a massive mistake." jack leaned up and adgusted his phone. "what no! emma your going to fit in just fine don't you worry." jack says, i nod my head taking in what he said. "yeah your right, i'm going to try and sleep again, night rowdy." i say, jack smiles and i blow a kiss. "bye em." i hang up and put my phone away, i lay on my side and close my eyes.
i woke up to the bright sun shining through my apartment windows, i streach and yawn before getting out of bed and walking towards the large windows. i take a moment to admire the view of the city, the most perfect view of the empire state building. ever since i was little thats all i ever wanted to see when i looked outside, now my dreams are coming true.
i heard a knock at my door and isabella runs into my room and hugs me. "ahh! i'm so excited for today." bella says with a smile, i chuckle and kiss her check. "me too, but i need coffee so lets stop at starbucks first." isabella nods her head, she walks towards my dresser and starts picking out an outfit. "here, perfect first day outfit." she says placing all the clothing on the bed, it was white joggers and a black skims bodysuit. "thanks iz!" she smiles and walks out of my room, we were so close already and i loved it.
i got changed into my outfit and did my makeup, i did simple clean girl makeup and put my hair back in a slick back bun. i walked out of my room and into the living area, isabella sat at the island counter already ready to leave. "you look gorgeous oh my." she complements me, i blush because hearing that from her hits different. "can we walk there?" i ask her, she nods her head as she gets up from her seat.
we left not long after, i enjoyed walking around new york its much better than driving. the walk is only ten minutes so we had time to stop at starbucks. the starbucks building was huge much bigger than the one i worked at back in jersey, we walked inside and i approched the counter. "hello! can i get two chai tea lattes with three pumps brown suger syrup please." i tell the old lady working at the counter, she nods her head and types into her computer. "you total is $14.99, name for the order?" she asks me as i scan my credit card. "emma." she smiles and starts to make our drinks.
she calls my name and i pick up our drinks, i walk over to isabella and hands her her drinks. "thanks babe." i smile, we head out the door and walk towards the big building which said 'vouge'. butterflies filled my stomach, i felt as if i could throw up. "you'll be okay, everyone is going to love you." isabella says looking over at me with her comforting smile, i take a deep breath and i walk through the doors. we were instantly greated by a group of beautiful girls who hugged isabella, once the were done the looked over at me. "oh my gosh hi, you must be emma right?" the tall brunette asks me, she looked very familier. "yes i am." she smiles and hugs me, shes pulls away quickly and smiles once more. "i'm kendall." i knew who she was now, she was fricken kendall jenner. i wanted to scream and act like the biggest fangirl, but i decided that would be just stupid. "this is bella, gigi, taylor and maddie." my heart dropped as she pointed to the last girl, that was jacks ex girlfriend and holy crap she was beautiful. she had deep brunette hair, suducing eyes and everything about her was perfect.
maddie approched me with a smirk. "wow, its good to meet you. i hope jack isn't a pain in your ass." the last thing i expected was for her to speck about jack, this encounter was nothing but pure awkwardness. "gosh he was always just so clingy and just ugh." maddie says, i gulp trying my hardest to stay calm. "maddie come on give the girl a breck." taylor jokes, maddie smirks once more before turning back around. the five other girls walk away leaving me and izzy alone, she walks closer to me and places her hands on my shoulders. "i should've warn you about her, maddie isn't really a bad person once you get to know her. now lets take you to meet anna." isabella says, i nod my head and follows her into someones office.
after my meeting with the manager i had the rest of the day to relax, anna said tomorrow is when more busier days will start. i'll have meetings everyday, outfit fittings, errans, practice and other stuff. today wasn't worth stressing out about, the girls are really nice other than maddie of course.
