(A/n): Well...

Referencing my author's note (now deleted), I really thought one week would be enough time to correct the grammar... but I guess two weeks would've been more accurate. Anyway, here's part 22 of my Tintin book. I'm sorry I took literally forever and I hope to not take so long next time!😅

I'll post the playlist tonight if I can, but for now... here we go!

P.s. I had to unpublish and re-publish this cuz it was glitching and it published the unedited version... ? This app suck sometimes, so sorry if you read this and it made no sense at first lol. Should be fine now aha!

(Third Person's POV)

After Tintin had escorted his friend (Y/n) to her room, he scowled at himself bitterly, feeling discouraged as he marched his way on back to where his hotel room resided.

The Captain was quick to unlock the door.

"Well? How'd it go?" the older man asked as he opened up the room for the boy. Tintin was solemn as he brushed by and laid down across a sofa with an irate sigh, and the Captain was quick to see the disappointment in his face. "Tintin...?"

"I'd rather not discuss it if you don't mind," Tintin muttered, scrunching his face as he rubbed his temple rather disappointedly.

Snowy whined with concern. Meanwhile, the Captain rubbed his beard with curiosity but understood.

"Very well- very well- I'll just leave you to it, then," Haddock quietly replied, holding his hands out in defense as he walked away to explore the shared suite.

Well... that didn't go well at all, Tintin thought. And now they would be leaving to the next destination in the morning, so how could he possibly settle his emotions then? He didnt want to keep this to himself forever- not if he could help it. It would consume his thoughts if he didnt admit it.

And the last thing he needed was to be distracted when there are important things needed to be done for (Y/n). This whole adventure was for her- every one of his actions was dedicated to getting his friend to discover her true purpose! And because of that, he needed to remain focused!

But as for his what his heart was telling him, what would he do about it?

Like that, the sun was rising again, lighting the prominently periwinkle sky. There was a delightful calmness about the city which touched the visitors at the Paris hotel. It was around nine in the morning when the people started to stir, and so did (Y/n) and her friends.

As she was peacefully asleep, the girl ignored the faint light seaping into her room from the window because of how sound she was. Not a single nightmare or flashback from her past had driven her slumber. In fact, she didn't even hardly dream at all, making her night so much more restful for the poor girl who almost always had to deal with night terrors.

Anyway, a light knock on her door was enough to wake her from her blankened dreams. She furrowed her brows in confusion then fluttured her eyes open. When she heard the knocking again, she quickly got up and ready to answer.

"Who is it?" she called out, stalling and scrambling to get dressed. She really needed to start prioritizing getting up in the morning, (Y/n) thought.

"It's Captain Haddock!" one voice called, muffled by the barrier.
