Chapter 13: New Tactics & A Rival

H???: "Seems you got a real problem"

The female speaks. Her voice is soothing but layered with a muffled low undertone, but you're still able to hear her clearly

R?????: "This looks easy enough"

Dired: "Who the hell are you 2?"

Husk: "If you must know, my names Husk and this is my companion"

Reaper: "You may call me Reaper"

Husk: "Don't think I'm doing this because I'm some vigilante, I'm doing this for my own enjoyment"

Husk charges forward. The spider tries to hit with one of its legs but Husk dodges it. He climbs up the leg of the spider and jumps, hitting it in its head. It seems to cause some irritants as the spider tries to hit him, but he jumps off the spider's head and jumps on the floor. As a result the spider hits itself in the head.

Dired: *That's smart....just who are these guys. This guy seems crazy*

Reaper then charges forward and her scythes extend once more, planting the sharp edges into the head of the spider. She charges forward and lands on the head of the spider. She rips the spider open. The spider lets out a loud shriek. Then she plants one into one of the spider's eyes before jumping off. She calls it back to her, bursting the spider's eye. The spider once again shrieks in pain.

Dired: "...Amazing.."

Husk: "Good job Re, now its time to finish the job."

Reaper: "Its quite injured, if we take out most of the legs we can finish it in a final blow."

Husk: "Sounds good to me"

Just then, something flashes across the spider and guts go flying everywhere. There's a hole in the spider's head and it starts shrieking before it falls to the ground and dies.

Husk, Reaper & Dired: "What the?"

As the spider falls to the ground, DJ stands on top of the Spider's abdomen

DJ: "Well, that was easy"

Griz and Bronx stand by the SUV in the driveway which just rolled up

Griz to Bronx

Griz: "Well he did kick down a metal door"

Bronx: "That's whack"

Husk stares at DJ from where him and Reaper stand

Husk: *So that's him, no wonder why the SIC consider him such a threat*

Husk: "Well, nice meeting you all. Its time to go."

Husk and Reaper jump on top of the roof'

Husk: "Exokuro, and i assume you are Dired. This wont be the last time we meet"

Husk and Reaper jump off into the forest

Griz: "Yo wolf boy, who were they"

Dired: "I'm not sure, they just appeared. But that Husk guy smelled like a wolf.."

Archimedes runs out the cabin

Archimedes: "What's happening...Dired?"

DJ: "Guys, my insider says SIC are gonna be looking on this side"

DJ looks around at the leftovers of a battlefield behind them

DJ: "I guess you already knew that"

Bronx: "We figure they might bring some backup or something"
