"She still sleeping?" Kaycee asked as she scrambled eggs for the 3 of them.

"I think so," Chase nodded, carrying Adeline who had been cranky all night. They noticed a few teeth breaking through and that was making sleeping hard for all 3 of them.

"Do you want to get her up or handle the baby?"

"I'm gonna let you wake the teenager up," he chuckled, using Adeline's little arm to point at Kaycee.

"Or we could let sissy do it. Then we won't be the bad guys huh?" She asked in a small baby voice as she made Adeline smile.

"I can live with that," Chase chuckled, taking Adeline and quietly opening the curtain to Sadie's room. He set Adeline at the foot of her bed and let the little one crawl up towards her soon-to-be sister's head.

Adeline was having a ton of fun as she took her hand and started to baby slap Sadie's cheek, her way of saying wake up.

"Good morning Addie," the teen mumbled, sitting up as she stood the baby up on her bed.

Adeline just smiled at her, watching as her sister set her down so she could put on her knee brace. As soon as that was on, she lifted Adeline up and walked out to the kitchen.

"Any reason I was woken up by the baby?" She asked, looking between both parents.

"I don't know. Ask your dad," Kaycee chuckled, setting down the plates of eggs she'd finished up.

"Don't ask me. I believe it was your mother's idea," Chase shrugged, taking Adeline so he could get her fed as well.

"He's just sharing the blame," she chuckled, sitting at the table with her family.

"Whatever," Sadie chuckled, digging into her breakfast as Chase and Kaycee started talking about their day ahead.

"So Maddy and Ryan invited us out tonight," Kaycee said as she looked at her texts.

"All of us or do we need to get a sitter?" Chase asked, looking over at Kaycee.

"All of us," she nodded, "Sadie if you want to go out with your friends, we can drop you off,"

"No, I'll come with you guys," she shrugged, "I like Maddy and Ryan,"

"Alright, then we'll decide what we're eating and go from there,"

"Sounds good to me. What do you think little miss? Sound good to you?" He asked Adeline who started kicking her legs as her father spoke to her. "I'll take that as a yes,"

"Sounds good to me," Kaycee chuckled, eating the rest of her breakfast.

The rest of the day was spent cleaning the house and getting ready for the week so they could spend Sunday relaxing.

"Sadie go ahead and get in the shower before we go tonight!" Kaycee called from the kitchen where she was making a bottle for Adeline.

"You saying I'm stinky?" Sadie chuckled, walking over to her mother, "hug me mommy,"

"Back off you," Kaycee chuckled, holding the baby in front of her. "I have a baby and I'm not afraid to use her,"

"That baby loves me. She won't mind a little smell," Sadie chuckled, hugging Kaycee tightly.

"I'll always give you hugs no matter what," Kaycee chuckled, hugging her back tightly.

"I love you, mom,"

"I love you too baby," she smiled, letting her soon-to-be daughter hug her for one more moment.

Sadie knew she meant it just by that moment. Her mom never hugged her, Kaycee always made sure she did. Not to mention, telling Sadie she loved her.

Kaycee knew what a toll Sadie's childhood had taken on her and she wanted to make sure the teen knew that she wasn't a burden at all. She wanted her to know what love actually was and how it felt to be a part of a family.

After a shower and getting ready for dinner, she limped out to Chase and Kaycee in the living room.

"Ready kiddo?" Chase asked, looking over as she walked out.

"Yep! Let's go. Where are we going?" Sadie asked, grabbing her jacket before they headed out to the car.

"I think we are going to Outback,"

"Ooohhh steakhouse. What's my limit?" She asked, carefully getting into Kaycee's SUV.

"What do you mean limit?" Kaycee asked as she handed over the key to Chase.

"Like how cheap do I have to go?"

"You can get whatever you want honey,"

"I can?" She asked, her eyes going wide.

"Yeah. It's a special thing. Get whatever you want," Chase nodded, driving over to the restaurant.

Sadie just smiled in the backseat, playing with Adeline who was extremely excited to have someone sitting in the back with her.

"Alright, kids. Let's go," Chase said as he pulled the car into a parking space.

Chase pulled the baby's car seat out while Sadie walked in with Kaycee. Once they found Maddy, Ryan, and baby Kollyn, they sat down and got ready for a good dinner and some good conversation.
