"I think dad is already here with the baby," Kaycee said as they walked in and found Chase at a table with Adeline already.

"Hey guys," Chase said as Adeline squealed at the sight of her mother.

"Hi cutie," Kaycee chuckled, taking the baby before she sat in a chair next to Sadie.

"How'd the appointment go?" Chase asked, setting the menu down after they all figured out what they were ordering.

"Good I think?" Sadie said, looking to Kaycee for a little more confirmation.

"The doctor said she could go with just a brace and without a crutch. Revisit in a few weeks," Kaycee nodded, sitting Adeline on the table. "But we need to make sure someone is taking their pain medication,"

"Yeah. Yeah," Sadie nodded, looking at the menu as the waiter came over.

Once they ordered, the conversation turned back to Sadie again.

"Anyway," Kaycee started, "We brought you to dinner because we want to talk to you about something,"

"What?" Sadie asked, hoping she knew where the conversation was going.

"Well, we've been talking and we know how hard it was to hear what your mom said,"

"She's not my mom," Sadie spoke up, not wanting to hear that woman be called her mom ever again. "Please don't call her that ever again,"

"Okay. We'll just call her by her name,"

"Bitch would be more appropriate," Sadie muttered.

"Sadie," Chase said with a bit of sternness to his voice.

"Whatever. Anyway,"

"We have a little something for you," Chase said as he got the small gift out of the baby's bag.

"Do I open it now?" She asked, looking between her foster parents.

"Yeah. Open it," Kaycee nodded.

Sadie looked at both of them again before ripping the paper open, to see a framed picture of Chase, Kaycee and Adeline.

"A picture?" Sadie asked, looking between Chase and Kaycee.

"There's a note on the back," Kaycee nodded, winking at Chase as Sadie flipped the frame over. "read it out loud,"

"Okay," the teen nodded, taking a sip of her drink before she started to read over the note. "Sadie. This is our most recent family photo. Adeline is only 6 months old and we planned to have another session when she turns one. We want you to be a part of that as our daughter and Adeline's sister. Sadie, we want to adopt you," she read, tearing up as she tried to contain herself after reading the note.

"What do you think?" Chase asked, looking at Sadie as she started to cry.

"I think that's a yes," Kaycee grinned, pulling her into a hug as Sadie cried against her.

Sadie could only nod, holding onto Kaycee as she cried.

"Then it's official. We'll make it official," Chase nodded, letting Adeline bounce on his leg.

"Thank you," Sadie sniffled, wiping her eyes as she got up and hugged Chase tightly as well.

"We love you kiddo. We wouldn't dream of letting you go," he said as he handed Adeline off and hugged Sadie tightly.

"I love you too," she whispered, sniffling before wiping her eyes and sitting back down in her chair.

"Alright no more tears," Kaycee chuckled, wiping Sadie's tears off her cheeks.

They ordered dinner and ate as soon as it came out, they ate and were soon heading home. They all sat in the living room and turned on a family movie, cuddling up on the couch as the night winded down.

They put Adeline down around 8 and decided to head upstairs around 9 while Sadie went to her curtained off bedroom.
