Someone called my name and I stepped out of the shadows into the view of São Feng.
"Where have you been?"
I raised my eyebrows. "Surely it is not so much the fact that I had gone rather than the fact that I came back that is important?"
São Pheng looked confused for a second, then chuckled a chuckle with no laughter behind it. It sounded menacing. I smiled at him and turned away, hearing him say calmly, "More steam," before I went through the door.
