The whole point of me sneaking out for a while was to collect a letter. The post office always stored mine around the back, for when I come and get it.
The letter in question trembled in my hand as my eyes lit up with excitement. This is what it said...
Dear Lia, I need your help. Meet me in Tortuga on the 4th day of this month and come alone. See you soon.
From Seth
Escaping from Sao Feng would normally be nigh on impossible, but with the prospect of seeing Seth as the goal, I think it would not be any problem at all.
People always seem surprised that me and Seth are twins. Well, I suppose we are completely different. I am always win in a fight between the two of us; Mother said that he looks like Dad, but that I act like Dad. I look more like mum with long dark hair and we both don't like dresses.
The only difference, apparently, between me and mum is that I have dark green eyes.
' A dark haired woman held her son in the crook of her arm. She smiled down at him, as a small girl of the same age sat at her feet, pulling the woman's trouser leg for attention.
Two 7 year olds were playing on the sand. The barefooted girl, with elbow length dark hair, swiped viciously with her wooden sword, making the boy's sword fly out of his hand. As it landed with a clatter she advanced on him with a grin on her face, her sword held high.
The dark haired woman stroked the sleeping boy's hair, singing a lullaby to him while a pair of jealous green eyes watched her from across the room. As the woman kissed him on the forehead and got up to leave, the girl whispered "Goodnight mummy." The woman simply smiled before shutting the door behind her, forcing the room into darkness.'
