Vic sighed and said, "I know that but I'm trying to rehabilitate her not send her jumping out the nearest window. She's suffered enough right now and she's feeling a wide range of emotions, there's no need to overload her".Hanna sighed and said, "I'm sorry Vic, it's just that I've been there when my parent's died in a car accident....I forget that other people cope differently". Vic hugged her friend and said"It's okay, besides management said that for her safety, Elaenna will be sedated until her discharge. She still has an aunt left and she's already picked a facility for Elaenna and will visit her when she's stable".

Hanna looked at her confused and said"Wouldn't her visit bring stability?" Vic frowned and said, "Ever heard of sensory overload...have you even been listening, I'm not trying to overload and pressure her. when she reaches the Rehab facility, they will assist with that and help her walk again".Hanna nodded and said, "Well we should be getting back now, she's probably getting nervous". Vic nodded and the two nurses scurried back to Elaenna's room.

Over the course of 3 more weeks, Elaenna was sedated and underwent 2 more operations to remove the final bullet and mitigate the remaining damage to her nerves and spine. Afterward, she was placed in a medically induced coma to allow her body recovery time and to ensure Elaenna wouldn't be a danger to herself. She had now been in the hospital for over a month now and it was finally time for her to leave for the rehab facility. On her final day in the hospital, she was woken up by Vic and Hanna and yet again she was shaken up.

Vic grabbed her hand and said, "Wakey wakey ms Robinson, you've been asleep for quite a while but thanks to that, your body is mostly recovered".Elaenna smiled a bit and said"Can I finally get all these wires off of me?" Vic smiled and said"Yes and afterward, me and Hanna are going to take you to your new home where they're gonna take care of you, and help you start walking and remembering things...does that sound good?" Elaenna frowned and said, "will you be there?"

Vic nodded and said," I'm normally not allowed but your family requested me personally for a few days so you feel safe so yes I will". Elaenna looked at her and said"My family?" and she smiled and said, "Just until your parents are found, your aunt will be managing things for you". Elaenna said, "I hope I can properly thank her when this mess is over". Vic nodded and said, "You will soon, now let's get you something to eat while we get you discharged".

After Elaenna was discharged and given new clothes, Vic wheeled her down to a Minivan that was waiting with it's ramp lowered. She pushed her inside, strapped Elaenna in, and climbed in herself before the driver shut the door, made sure the two girls were alright and took off. Along the way to the facility, Elaenna looked out the window at various buildings like a child who had their first piece of candy. In a way, Vic envied her in that moment because she got to experience the beauty of Washington's farmlands all over again and practically not have to worry about things.

Despite this place being called a facility, it was built more like a college campus with wide open lawns of lush green grass, beautiful gardens, a walking path that spread across the whole site, and separate buildings that looked like mansions. Each building had different styles of rooms and architecture but unfortunately, Elaenna wasn't going to any of those. Instead, she was taken to the largest building on campus which was special because it housed 2 bedroom living quarters with their own kitchens instead of relying on the staff to cook and bring meals like the other houses.

As the van finally pulled up to the tailgate of the building, Vic got out, let down the ramp, and pushed Elaenna out and into the facility. As they crossed through the automatic doors, their mouths dropped and how luxurious it was; the lobby had marble tile and oak paneled walls and Victorian style furniture, and tall stain-glass windows that looked heavenly. They continued staring until they were interrupted by this tall, thin guy with long blonde hair tied into a ponytail. He smiled and said"This place is impressive...anyways my name is Jeremy and I'm here to take ms Robinson and her interim nurse to their room, so please follow me. Jeremy led them to the back of the lobby, down a wide oak-paneled hallway that split into a 4-way intersection with an old lamp post clock in the middle.

Jeremy said, "We'll keep going straight until the end of the hall and there it is...those two double doors lead to the Marsh house...that's where your quarters await".As soon as they crossed through the wooden double doors, they found themselves in a large beautiful living room that was carpeted, had tons of oak wood furniture, tall glass windows, and a flat screen mounted on the wall and tables on the opposite side. They walked past this down another hall where the oak doors were now numbered but spaced far apart. Finally, at the end of the hall, they stopped at room 10 and opened the door to find themselves standing in a modern-styled living room.

On one side of the room was the open kitchen complete with silver appliances, marble countertops, in-wall ovens, and microwaves, as well as a double sink. The living room area was on the opposite side and had a large, 80-inch TV with a chocolate brown sectional with reclining chairs. The wall on the living room side had a door that led out to a patio that led to a beautiful garden with an artificial pond in the middle with a curved bridge going over it. It was all so beautiful and she struggled to take it all in and she still had yet to see her room.
