Jeremy headed to the kitchen since it was now 4 pm and began making dinner. As he did he said, "Boy oh boy did I have fun fishing down by the lake earlier...the weather was beautiful despite it still being spring". Elaenna giggled and said, "I'm glad you had fun but you should be careful, these are those tricky days that get people sick...it's still spring and there's a bunch of stuff floating around". Jeremy groaned before saying"You're right but it was totally worth it...I'll be careful next time". She giggled and said, "You better, now I'm going to go relax for a bit and watch Teen Werewolf, bring the food when you're ready, and you better be prepared to eat with me...I missed you all day".

Jeremy giggled and said, "Yes m'lady, I look forward to our evening dinner date". Elaenna blushed hard and quickly wheeled herself into her room before he noticed and turned on the TV and put on "Teen Werewolf" as quickly as possible. One episode later, Jeremy finally came in with a tray of fettuccine Alfredo and a sheet over his shoulder. He sat the tray tray down on the dresser before spreading the sheet out on the bed and then setting the tray down. Elaenna frowned as he walked towards the door and left. A minute later, he came back with an office chair and his plate of food, which turned her frown back into a joyful smile.

Together the nurse and his patient watched Teen Werewolf but that didn't last long. Almost as if it were fate, the episode they were watching happened to be a super ultra-romantic episode which affected Elaenna greatly. Jeremy laughing and paying too much attention to the show to notice. He was stuck in his teenage nostalgia which bought Elaenna some time to compose herself before he looked her way. To Elaenna this whole situation was stimulating...it felt like they were boyfriend and girlfriend having an awkward movie date. It's not that she wouldn't like this scenario it's just that she isn't trying to seduce him and risk scaring him away...at least not yet anyway. Fortunately, she managed to stop her blush but she now found her eyes drifting to Jeremy's face, specifically, his lips.

She began to remember how soft they were, and how warm they felt and if it wasn't already clear that she was liking what she saw then it was evident now by her heart racing and her body feeling warm. Thankfully, the episode ended a few minutes later which brought Jeremy's focus back to her. He smiled and said"Can't finish it all huh?" she nodded and he said"That's alright, I cant save it for tomorrow unless you didn't like all that well...if that's the case I can make a different variation next time. Elaenna shook her head and said"no, it was good it's just my stomach is a bit queasy at the moment...I'll finish it tomorrow". Jeremy said"okay" before putting his plate on the tray and leaving the room to go clean things up.

When he came back, he had a glass of carbonated water in his hand which he sat on her nightstand before sitting back in the office chair. He looked her in the eyes and said"I've been meaning to ask...how was your day to today?" Elaenna smiled and said, "Well despite hearing about the darkness of my life before this mess, I'm fine...my aunt told me the real truth about my mother's death and that I should move forward with this new information".She giggled and said, "I must say it's a bit overwhelming but I know I'll be OK...as long as you're here to support me and remind me that I can still rewrite all my wrongs".

Jeremy blushed before saying"I'm glad to hear that your outlook has changed and that you got the answers you need...I'll be here for you as we figure this out so relax and just rely on me all you need". Jeremy leaned over and kissed her forehead and said"Goodnight, if you need anything just hit the intercom or yell for me". He quickly moved over to his office chair, wheeled it out of her room, and closed the door without even turning back to face her. Jeremy knew what he did was a bit much but he felt she needed it and deep down her smile had gotten to him again. Despite the awkward night and the kiss, Elaenna slept like a baby that night, unaware of the mess the two would face.

The next morning, Jeremy awoke at 10 am as usual but he noticed his room was a bit hot and his joints were sore and he still felt tired. He didn't think anything of it and instead did some stretches, turned the heat down, and went for some coffee. Upon walking down the hall, he noticed things were rocking back and forth and that's when he realized he was sick. He went into the medicine cabinet and took some over-the-counter medicine before waddling his way into the kitchen with gloves on. His hands were shaking badly and he was losing his balance and in a last-ditch effort, he grabbed the cabinet drawer handle but it pulled out and fell with him, creating a loud thud and a symphony of clanging aluminum from the silverware.

Hearing this, Elaenna slid into her chair and wheeled herself out of her room, calling out for Jeremy but all she heard was light groaning. When she arrived in the kitchen, she found Jeremy lying lopsided on the couch, breathing a bit heavily.
