Theo's POV:

It's been four days since I had the emergency repair surgery. I had finally been moved to my bedroom, which even with a TV was boring as hell. I was released from the stupid band thing that was holding my arm down, but Mason and Margo were 100% serious that I was not to be doing anything except resting. Mason helped me shower but other than using the bathroom or sitting to eat I was to be laying down. I was currently laying on my stomach with a pillow tucked under my head, my arm was hanging off the bed from where I had left it when I tried to grab the phone I dropped. Mason had gotten out of the shower 10 minutes ago but was still in the bathroom. I couldn't even reach the TV remote from where I laid. I could get up but certain movements still caused uncomfortable pain, like getting up from my stomach on my own.

I huffed in annoyance. "Masoooonnnnn." I called out, sounding whiny.

The bed dipped as weight was added and a kiss was pressed against my bare shoulder.

"Mm... Why are you whining?" Mason asked.

"I'm bored. Can I please go down to the game room or something?"

"Hmmm... No can do. Margo said in bed until Saturday and that's if she clears you after that."

"That would make 10 days of bed rest, Mason." I whined even more.

He inhaled my scent as he ran his nose up my neck. "Tell you what... If you can get up out of this position on your own, without pain, I will ask Margo to check you now."

"Fine." I moved my arms up so I could push myself up.

"Oh and do keep in mind I know when you're lying. You haven't figured out how to turn off the bond yet so I can also still feel your pain."

I stopped and huffed, settling back into the bed. "You suck."

He laughed. "I know. I'm sorry. It was a nice attempt though."

He pressed a kiss against my shoulder again before he climbed off me and headed for our new mini fridge.

"What are you doing?"

"I felt a bit shaky when I got out of the shower. Blood sugar is too high. Gotta take an injection."

"Babe." I huffed.

He looked at me from where he was standing. "What?"

"Get it." I pointed at the fridge. "When you need a dose I don't care how whiny I am about my personal situation, you say you need to get your insulin and you ignore me until you do what you have to do."

"It's not that big of a deal. I'm fine. Taking five minutes isn't going to make much of a difference." He walked over with the new case for all his supplies and one of the vials of insulin.

I groaned as I rolled onto my back.

"What are you doing?" He sounded exasperated.

I tried to sit up.

"Theo, for fucks sake." He set his stuff on the nightstand before he grabbed my left arm and slipped his other arm around my back. "You need to stop being so stubborn."

"Let me help you out."

His eyebrow furrowed. He left me sitting on the edge of the bed before stepping back and grabbing his stuff. He ignored me for a minute as he calculated his numbers and drew the right amount into the syringe. He put the cover back on before grabbing an alcohol prep pad and turning back to me, holding both items.

"You want to give me the shot? I'm more than capable of doing it."

"You've been doing everything for me for weeks now, I watched how to do it and you can talk me through... If you want or if you have time."
