"His book A Man in Full is 370,000 words and it took him eleven years to finish. "My children grew up thinking that was all I did: write, and never finish, a book called A Man in Full," Wolfe admitted."

That's an excerpt from wordcounter's article "The Daily Word Counts of 19 Famous Writers" I related to Tom Wolfe's part, he clocks in at 135 words per day and he took 11 years to finish one book, which at this pace it what it feels like it's gonna take me, considering 370k is pretty much what i expect my fic to take, if not more

Well, except i don't really have a daily word count, more like an overall average, the difference is that I don't write consistently, but when I do, I write a lot

For example, I woke up today and started writing...

And when I picked 24 back up I can manage 1k a day, if it were that easy i'd have this book done in a year, but it ain't so easy

ADFB is currently sitting at 187k words including the unreleased chapter 25, as much as the first Lord of The Rings book, if we divide that by the amount of days since the release of Chapter 1 (I remember writing that whole thing in a day)

That means i write 110 words a day in average, pretty poor

What am I getting at with all of this? I've got no clue! I just wanted to talk lol idkfksdskjfgd

I just don't want to fall back to the eternal cycle of inspiration bursts followed by hiatus

And, don't get me wrong, I'm glad my followers are patient, I'm glad you encourage me to not prioritize this book over mental health, or economical situation, or studies, or employement

But here's the thing, neither you or I truly want this book to end by the time i become a god damn dad now do we?

I have to figure out a way to make me at least open this app every day, I don't even have to write, believe it or not simply opening wattpad is the first barrier in every hiatus I've got, i have to tear it DOWN TO THE GROUND!!!!

But ramblings and anxieties aside...

I'm very happy to release ADFB 24! It was no doubt the hardest episode to write in the history of this fic, very painful, and very long, wouldn't recommend

But with that done that's 1 episode out of the 5 i want to release this year, and we're in January

And I'll be real, I don't know if I can release 4 chapters, however, at the very least ADFB 25 won't take long, I really believe I can get it out by February, the challenge will be wayyy easier to write and the nature of how the episode is structured I think will make it very fun to write, I hope I'm right

I don't want 2024 to be as droughty as 2023, I really don't wanna, but I realize that now that I'm in the middle of my vacations i realize how mentally draining this college year was for me, which i guess justifies me a little bit, but it's not like I've had no time

Which is why the objective is 5 chapters, so reach ADFB 28 by the end of 2024, even then it'd take 5 years to finish (including this one) so I'm reconsidering cutting the runtime again from 46 to a lower number, but i frankly have no clue how I'd achieve such thing

anyways end of rambke goovdye
