I am dude from Argentina that is now legally allowed to vote, that's right, I turn 18 today! It's kind of insane... I remember when I made my Wattpad account on the family computer when I was 14, by that time already a BFDI fan fully expecting to read cringe and have a laugh... Only to be completely surprised as I found myself crying reading one of IceMint's stories, Supernova to be specific.

How'd I found BFDI? Well, first of all I used YouTube and only YouTube, my parents didn't let me have a phone or social media until 13 (God bless them for that) but, of course, I used dad's YT to comment on stuff when I was a little booger kid, spamming his recommendations... well, doesn't matter, as if he used YouTube at all...

But if he did, I bet he would've been confused with the english stuff on his feed... yep, I started watching content in English with subtitles on (Mostly The Fine Brothers at the start, then lets players like Mark or Cory), for some reason I liked watching a video with spanish subtitles and then with english ones to "challenge myself" and oops I am bilingual now

With these newfound powers of course I also pirated Steven Universe to watch it before the spanish dub came out on TV and at one point even before the fansub was finished to then argue with people about the episodes on Google+ with my broken english! How fun

BFDI eventually showed up in my recommended when I was like 13 and I got hooked immediately, eventually I made my way over to here to have a laugh at some fanfics fully expecting for literally all of them to be bad and cringy... And cringe I got! I read a very bad Fireoiny fic and then an even worse, completely nonsensical book named "bfdi ask or dare" it was so bad it wasn't even funny.

Of course I went into Supernova (which just popped up in my feed) fully expecting more cringe and instead I got tears, it was really good.

Then I found this oneshots book that was actually clickbait since the first 16 chapters were very clearly part of an overarching story about lightning being a cupid and gay for snowball or something, point is that it was GOOD.

I felt inspired so I decided to make my own fanfic, "I became what I swore to destroy!" I thought to myself as I, in May of 2019, published a few very shitty chapters of a book I named "Where's Ice Cube?" the cover made in pirated photoshop on the family computer, of course.

The book fucking sucked and I had no idea what the plot was going to be before I started to write it so I quickly shelved that and went back to reading for I, a 14 year old bilingual argentinan that barely reads books and does mediocre in literature at school, was clearly not cut to make a fanfic myself.

Or that's what I thought... for as I read more fics I would discover more "ask or dare" books, every single one I discovered was equally as bad with terrible self-inserts and dialogue that sounds like it came from a TV show for 1 year olds that don't know what color red is, it was like an epidemic... and I felt compelled to turn the genre on its head.

This, combined with the prolonged BFB 13 delay, created the idea in my mind... the only story I'd ever write and the only one I'd ever care for

"Ask or Dare for a B.F.D.I"

The ask or dare to end all ask or dares.

I wrote episode 1 and put it up; Four comes back from a year break, mysteriously resets BFB and begins allowing viewers to submit questions, dares and challenges.

It was the greatest thing I had ever written, over one thousand words of greatness and the best was to come. This is how I fell in love with writing, creating a universe and having people care and be invested in it, even if it's based on another show... It's the greatest thing of all

So, now that I've been around for almost 3 years and a half and the book counts with 19 really looooong chapters with a 20th coming hopefully this month, I'd like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone that has supported my little fantasy world.

It is still batshit insane that a guy like me, who still does somewhat poorly at literature and does NOT read books outside of Wattpad (And I barely read fanfics anymore too) can write something and have people here value it so dearly, it doesn't matter how many times I might go on hiatus, I freaking LOVE this hobby.

See you guys around!
