I'm reaching the point of getting so many votes that I'm struggling to count them (I have to recount them several times to make sure i got the number right, I need to account for misspellings and replies, it's a headache)
I got 43 votes so far for chapter 23 (Yet another record) and the voting period hasn't even ended, it always surprises me to see the support rising each chapter despite how long the book's been running for
So I wanted to make a chart on ADFB votes over time! Here it is

I gotta say, even I'm surprised by how this graph turned out... and I counted the votes!
There seems to be a lot of anomalies compared to the growth of your normal youtube object show, does Wattpad have some kind of magical properties?
Well, most anomalies here are explained with two factors: Hiatuses, Voting time periods and Wattpad bugs
First off, hiatuses, there were a few, between 4 and 5 (3 months) the number actually went up but I guess it wasn't that long However the one between chapter 7 and 8 was the biggest one ever (13 months??) the pandemic hit me hard i guess... even though 2 chapters released before the readers could vote again, it still dropped to 4 votes Next one was between 15 and 16 (5 months) and I did drop exactly by one vote there!
However I realize that this thing kinda falls apart when the next ones were between 18 and 19 (9 months) and between 19 and 20 (5 months) and both of them had a dramatic 13 vote increase which are tied for biggest vote increase ever and when chapter 21 released just 3 weeks later it decreased so fuck me i guess LMAO
In the process of looking through hiatuses I managed to get the release date for most chapters (Wattpad doesn't save which date each chapter was released), so here it is

2019: 5 chapters released 2020: 0 chapters released (lol) 2021: 12 chapters released 2022: 4 chapters released 2023: 2 chapters released (With 1/3rd of the year down)
This just made me realize how I was on FUCKIN' FIRE in 2021, especially from March to May where I wrote 8 chapters in 3 months what the fuck??? I forgot that I wrote so much so quick!
To give present me credit though I put a lot more effort into a chapter nowadays, they are lengthier, I take care of my writing more, I make graphics and a few times even pictures, and I'm also a college student now...
Well, even with all of that, my objective is to beat 2022 in amount of chapters released, I think I'm gonna make it! It's just that... y'know, it do be hard
Anyways, voting time periods have fluctuated randomly, I'm not about to go through every chapter and check at which date voting finished, I just know that nowadays the voting periods are the highest they've ever been at 10 days and I don't plan to move it, so that's why there might've been an increase in votes
Another reason are Wattpad bugs, specifically this should explain why chapter 11 had 0 votes, not gonna lie it was pretty disappointing when it happened but I'm pretty sure Wattpad was failing to deliver notifications that day, unlucky
Anyways, I'd like to talk about ADFB 24 for a little bit here, I've already written 1,6k words for the cold opener and the elimination (even though the voting period hasn't closed but whatevr..,) and I'm gonna get to writing on it after i publish the thing you're reading now so that will soon be outdated
I'm very excited for this one, I really like the challenge I picked, I've actually wanted to write it the moment it was suggested but I had already picked the challenge for ADFB 23 and it had been suggested a good while ago so I wanted to get it down, I really should stop feeling pressured to make every challenge I get suggested chronologically though, that's not realistic anymore, it's actually impossible
Buuut yeah, thank you for reading this little thingy, the 26th of May release for ADFB 24 is not yet confirmed but it is still what I am aiming for and it is very much afoot, I just need to put my batteries in!
