49. BUSINESS PARTY (3)

He started to drive the car. Anu was constantly looking towards him to have at least a glance but he was looking straight with a stern face. She was petrified because of him. She tried to call him but of no use. He acted like he didn't hear her calling his name.

Anu said in a low voice,
~ A.. Anuj.... Anuj....

He didn't listen to her. He concentrated on driving only.

Anu💬
Anuj toh sun hi nahi rahe.... Mujhse bahot gussa hai.... Mai kya karu.... *sob* kanhaji please koi toh rasta dikhaiye....

After sometime he stopped the car. Anu was shocked that why he stopped the car here as this place was unknown to her and it was all dark. He was about to open the door but before that she questioned him with fear and hesistance.

~ A...Aap kaha?

Without turning to her, he said in stern voice,

~ Ice-cream

Then she noticed that afar from here, there was an ice-cream parlour. Her eyes got watery again.

Anu💬
Inhe aise me bhi apna promise yaad hai.... Abhi bhi meri ice-cream ke baare me soch rahe hai....

She said in meek voice,
~ nahi.... Nahi chahiye....

He holded the car handle to open the door, straightaway ignoring her no.

~ nahi chahiye ice-cream....

Still he slightly opened the door but Anu's hand went forward to his seat to close the door. She closed the door.

~ icecream nahi chahiye.... Aap chahiye....

But he again holded the door handle and he hadn't looked at her even for a second.

Anu was about to hold his hand to remove his hand from the handle.

~ DON'T, he said yet again in stern voice.

She was lingered and taken her hand back in a jiffy.

~ A.... Aap m.... meri taraf de.. dekh.... enge bhi n.. nahi...

He didn't answer.

Mai kya karu.... Mujhe nahi samajh aa raha hai.... Anuj aise toh pehle kabhi nahi karte the.... Mujhe darr lag raha hai.... Vo toh mujhe touch bhi nahi karne de rahe....

Her last line gave her a clue. So without thinking about the outcome of this, she did it with utter fear.

She came a little forward. He felt that she moved towards him.

~ DON'T ANUPAMA.... DON'T....

But this time she ignored. She kept on moving to him.

~ I SAID DON'T.... STAY THERE ONLY.... STOP....

But she didn't take a pause and went to driving seat. She adjusted herself on his lap and her legs near the gear box (engine was off already) while ignoring his don't 's.

Now after a long time their eyes came in contact with each other.

But he was still stubborn.
~ WHAT ARE YOU DOING.... GO BACK TO YOUR SEAT.... WHY ARE YOU NOT UNDER..............

While he was saying that Anu holded his face in her palms. That's it now, rest words of him were swallowed by him after her direct touch and a lone tear escaped his eyes. Anu wiped the lone tear with her thumb while holding his face.
This was the reason he didn't want her to touch him as he knew that only her touch could melt him into a puddle and anyhow he didn't want that for now that's why he was avoiding her touch.
