"I heard, you like boys?"
"Is that true?"
"Really? Oh my, are you gay?"
"Whoooh~ is that why you are so loud and girly?"
"No wonder you're such a clean freak and love flowers but scared of almost everything, just like girls."
All the gossips and comments that were very rude and bad made the whole class laugh and high five. Meanwhile, Hoseok stayed silent, sobbing silently, bearing all the taunts he was listening to. It's not a new thing; this happens almost every time anyway.
"No way, it is true. Can't you see how he is crying? No man cries like that."
"He is seriously so weak and helpless. Such a fragile sunshine." All the boys and girls laughed while looking at Hoseok with disgusted and irritated faces.
"Eww, stop looking like that, we have no interest in you. It's disgusting." One boy said with a disgusted face as he pushed Hoseok harshly, making him fall down with a loud bang sound.
"O-ouch..." Hoseok groaned in pain, tears flooding and making his eyes all blurry, both from the insult and the pain. He feels the worst here, as if he is the only strange person in the whole class.
Everyone laughed at him while some showed him sympathetic faces, but all had disgusted expressions. Hoseok only kept his eyes closed, head down, caressing his elbow, which was hurting a lot. He felt a scratch there; he could feel it bleeding.
Everyone laughed and taunted him more, but they instantly stopped when someone spoke with a very calm yet dominant voice.
"Move away!" The voice came from behind, making everyone step away and give a path. It was a silver-haired guy, it was their one year senior.
"Y-yoongi." The name muttered from the students' mouths as Yoongi, with his hands inside his pants pocket, glared at all of them before looking down at Hoseok, who only stared at him shocked and surprised.
"Get up!" Yoongi calmly and sternly said, reaching out his hand to Hoseok. Everyone was silent, while Hoseok was shocked and surprised because it was the first time someone came to help him.
"Get up." Yoongi repeated when Hoseok didn't show any reaction, which made Hoseok nervously move his hand and hold Yoongi's hand to stand up.
Hoseok kept still, all frozen, staring at Yoongi who calmly brushed away the dirt from Hoseok's clothes, making him feel even weirder. Hoseok could literally feel his heart thumping. He prayed hard so that no one could hear it. It would be even more embarrassing.
"Be careful next time." That's all Yoongi said before giving a very small smile to Hoseok, making his eyes widen in surprise. Yoongi then took his hand and walked away from there, leaving everyone gossiping about him. Hoseok still stayed frozen, staring at Yoongi until he disappeared from his sight.
The teacher entered that time too, and everyone left to their seats. Hoseok stood and stared at his hand where Yoongi had held him.
"Dad..." Hoseok entered the house, in all fear and nervousness, holding his injured hand. He found his father sleeping on the couch, the room was a mess, with alcohol bottles and food packets all over. The room was filled with the smell of alcohol.
Hoseok sighed, knowing it isn't the first time. He has to clean this again like always.
After cleaning all the mess, Hoseok thought to take a bath and treat his injuries when his father got up and started to shout.
"You! Rat bastard! You still here? I feel so disgusting. Didn't you leave the house yet? Why are you here? Ruining my reputation and my face all down in the ground. For you! That woman left to heaven after giving such a big bag of insults to me."
