Jin burst into the classroom, his face flushed from both running and the overwhelming encounter with Jungkook. He stormed to his seat, plopping down with a huff, desperately trying to focus on anything other than the fluttering in his chest. But as soon as he looked up, his heart sank—Jungkook had entered right behind him, and to make matters worse, he was staring directly at him.

Jin quickly turned away, pretending to rummage through his bag, hoping the heat in his cheeks would fade. "Why is he staring so much?" he muttered under his breath, glancing sideways at Namjoon and Jhope, who were seated beside him.

Namjoon, who was busy scribbling something in his notebook, looked up with a knowing smirk. "Who, Jungkook? Well, maybe because you ran away from him like your life depended on it."

Jin shot Namjoon a glare. "I did not run away like that! I was... I was just getting my daily cardio in!"

Jhope snorted, unable to hold back his laughter. "Yeah, sure. Daily cardio that involves dodging Jungkook like he's a ghost chasing you. Seriously, Jin, what did you do to make him look at you like that?"

Jin groaned, burying his face in his hands. "I don't know! But it’s driving me crazy. Can’t he find something else to look at?"

Namjoon chuckled. "Well, considering he’s looking like a model straight off a runway today, I think everyone else is more interested in him. Except him, of course—he’s only interested in you."

Jin peeked through his fingers, sneaking a glance at Jungkook, who was seated a few rows behind him. Sure enough, Jungkook was still staring, his intense gaze never wavering. And the worst part? He had that annoyingly confident smile on his face, like he knew exactly what he was doing to Jin.

Jin quickly looked away, his heart racing all over again. "This is a nightmare," he whispered, trying to focus on the front of the class where the teacher was starting the lesson.

Jhope leaned in closer, his voice full of mischief. "Maybe he’s trying to mind-control you with his stare. You know, get you to fall for him."

Jin shot him a look of pure horror. "Don’t even joke about that!"

Namjoon smirked, his voice teasing. "Oh, come on, Jin. If you weren’t interested, you wouldn’t be so flustered."

Jin opened his mouth to argue but quickly closed it when he felt another burning stare from Jungkook. He grumbled under his breath, more to himself than anyone else. "Why does he have to look so good? It’s annoying..."

Jhope nudged him with his elbow, waggling his eyebrows. "Maybe you should return the favor. Give him a taste of his own medicine."

"Huh?"

"Stare back at him?"

Jin looked at Jhope like he had grown two heads. "Are you crazy? I can’t do that!"

Namjoon grinned, clearly enjoying the situation. "Why not? It might be fun to see how he reacts."

Jin shook his head furiously, but before he could protest further, the teacher called on him to answer a question. Jin scrambled to pull himself together, trying to push thoughts of Jungkook out of his mind. But as he stood to answer, he made the mistake of looking back at Jungkook again.

Jungkook gave him a small, almost imperceptible wink, and Jin nearly lost his train of thought entirely.

"Uh, the answer is..." Jin stammered, feeling the heat rise to his face as he quickly blurted out the first thing that came to mind, not even sure if it was right.

The teacher nodded, moving on to another student, and Jin sank back into his seat with a sigh of relief. But the relief was short-lived, as Namjoon and Jhope both leaned in closer, grinning like Cheshire cats.
