"I already have a boyfriend!"

Jin's words tumbled out hastily, hoping that maybe this would stop Jungkook from doing whatever he was planning. Jin felt like he was betraying someone important to him, and it made him want to cry.

For a moment, everything seemed to hang in the balance. Jungkook froze, his expression unreadable. Inside, he wasn’t sure whether he should laugh or cry. Shouldn’t he feel the happiest knowing that he was the one Jin was talking about—his online boyfriend?

The realization hit Jungkook hard, knowing that Jin was so loyal and fearful, trying to protect a relationship he didn’t even know was with him.

Jungkook’s heart swelled with affection. Jin’s sincerity, his loyalty, and his genuine fear of hurting someone he cared about made him even more adorable in Jungkook's eyes. He couldn’t help but find it endearing, even if the situation was more complicated than Jin realized.

With a soft chuckle, Jungkook finally spoke, his voice gentle, "You don’t have to worry, Jin. I won’t do anything you don’t want me to do." His tone was sincere, though his eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint. "But you should know… your ‘boyfriend’ is very lucky to have someone as loyal as you."

Jin, still trembling, looked up at Jungkook, confused and relieved at the same time. He didn’t understand why Jungkook seemed so calm, so understanding, and yet so close.

The tension between them lingered, but Jungkook made no further moves, leaving Jin with a mix of emotions he couldn’t quite untangle.

"W-what do you mean...?" Jin asked, his voice tinged with confusion and surprise. He expected Jungkook to be upset or sad after hearing about his supposed boyfriend.

If Jungkook liked him, wouldn’t this news hurt him? But why did he look so happy? Could this all really just be a game for him?

Jungkook backed away, a mysterious smile on his lips. "You’ll know when it’s time. By the way, I think you won’t like us being here alone any longer, so I’ll leave. But you’ll find me again anytime." He winked playfully, and before Jin could react, Jungkook leaned in and gave him a quick, light kiss on the cheek. Then, just as quickly, he turned and ran off, leaving Jin standing there in shock and disbelief.

Jin stood frozen in place, his hand slowly moving to his cheek where Jungkook had kissed him.

"What the hell, he doesn’t seem to care at all!" Jin exclaimed, feeling a strange mixture of emotions churning inside him.

He unconsciously clutched his chest, trying to make sense of what he was feeling.
"W-why the hell am I feeling like this? That he doesn’t care? Shouldn’t I be happy?"

Suddenly, his attention was diverted by his phone lighting up on the table with a notification. Grateful for the distraction, Jin walked over and grabbed his phone, his heart skipping a beat when he saw a message from the one he loved so much. His smile widened as he opened the message.

♪Player♪: My moon! Where are you?
♪Player♪: It's been so long since we talked.

Jin smiled softly and quickly replied.

'•Moon•': We didn’t talk for just two days. Dummy. And yes, I’m here. What happened?

♪Player♪: Nothing, just missing you while wondering if anyone dared to come near you in my absence.

Jin’s eyes widened in surprise at the text, his heart fluttering a little.

'•Moon•': W-what do you mean? Who would try to be near me? Ha~ that's impossible.

♪Player♪: I know my moon is loyal and amazing. It makes me want to love you even more.

'•Moon•': Y-yeah, yeah, right.

Jin's heart felt a little lighter, his confusion over Jungkook’s behavior momentarily set aside as he focused on the sweet messages from his online boyfriend. But even as he texted back, a small part of him couldn’t shake the feeling that something was changing, something he didn’t quite understand yet.

Jin flinched when his phone rang, seeing his dad's name on the screen. He quickly remembered it was the weekend the next day, and they had promised to go back home for the day. He accepted the call, only to hear Taehyung's voice exclaiming, "Jin, where are you? Haven't I said I want you three at the house by today?"

"Oops, sorry, Dad. Don't worry, the class is over. I'll tell Hobi and Joonie to get ready. You send the car, okay?" Jin responded, trying to sound calm.

"Good, then hurry," Taehyung replied before the call ended.

Jin breathed in and out, trying to steady himself, then headed towards his dorm room. As soon as he reached the door, he was welcomed by two punches on his head. "Ouch!" he exclaimed, already knowing it was Jhope and Namjoon taking their usual revenge.

"You idiots! I’ll complain to Dad. Just wait and watch!" Jin pouted, rubbing his head.

"Yeah, as if we care. Uncle Tae will understand our reasoning," Jhope said with a grin, and Namjoon nodded in agreement.

"Great, anyway... get ready. Dad called," Jin instructed, brushing off the playful attack.

"Oh yes, almost forgot," Jhope replied, realizing the urgency.

"I know, now go and get ready. Pack for one day; we'll go, spend the night, and then come back the day after tomorrow. Okay?" Jin directed, taking charge of the situation.

"Okay," they both replied in unison.

"I’ll go and pack up," Namjoon said, heading to his dorm room to get his things together.

Jin smiled as he watched his friends' excitement. It was their first time going to his house, and it was also Jin's first time bringing true friends over. He was super excited as he got ready. While packing, Jhope and Namjoon couldn’t hold back their curiosity any longer.

"Anyways, what happened between you and JK?" Namjoon asked casually, but there was a hint of curiosity in his voice.

"Yeah, the way he ran after you was... really, uh... how can I say?" Jhope wondered aloud, trying to find the right words.

Jin paused for a moment, the question catching him off guard. He bit his lip, thinking back to the strange encounter with Jungkook, especially the unexpected kiss on the cheek. "Uh, nothing much... We just had a little... misunderstanding, I guess," Jin tried to downplay it, feeling a bit flustered.

"Misunderstanding, huh?" Namjoon raised an eyebrow. "It didn’t seem like just that to me. There was definitely something else going on."

"Yeah! Jungkook looked like he was up to something," Jhope added, nudging Jin with a grin. "Come on, tell us what really happened!"

Jin felt his face heat up as he remembered Jungkook leaning in so close, the way his heart raced, and how confused and nervous he felt. But he wasn’t ready to admit that, especially since he wasn’t even sure what was happening himself. "Honestly, nothing serious. He’s just... weird like that sometimes," Jin shrugged, trying to brush it off.

"Uh-huh, sure," Jhope said, clearly not convinced. "But if you say so."

"Just be careful around him," Namjoon advised, though his tone was light. "You never know with a guy like Jungkook."

Jin nodded, grateful they didn’t press further. He wasn’t sure what to make of Jungkook’s behavior either, but he knew one thing—he was looking forward to spending time with his friends at home and forgetting about the confusing feelings Jungkook stirred up in him, at least for a little while.
