When Jin woke up from sleep the next day, he found the room all empty. Hurrying to freshen up and wear clothes, Jin ran out without even caring to take his school bag.
"Hobi, I am sorry! Joon, say something! I am so, so, so sorry! For God's sake!"
Jin literally shouted as loudly as he could in the middle of the park, standing in front of the bench Namjoon and Hoseok were sitting on. He didn't care about what people around would think.
Now, all that was important was for him to get back his friends and their forgiveness.
"Please, I am sorry." Jin ran to Hoseok and Namjoon, banging his hands on the table.
Hoseok side-eyed him before silently standing up and leaving, leaving Jin in disbelief. He looked at Namjoon for help, but Namjoon also stood up and left, leaving Jin sighing.
"Looks like someone is in trouble."
Jin's attention diverted as he looked behind to see people he didn't want to see at all, especially early in the morning.
"You know, I am in a bad mood, and I really need a punching bag to rid my anger. You two wanna volunteer?"
Jin said, glaring at Kai and Baekhyun, who immediately hid behind Yoongi, fear visible on their faces.
"By the way, where is your leader, huh? That guy really annoyed me to death yesterday. He should be glad I let him live."
Jin's words confused Kai and Baekhyun while Yoongi had a knowing face, so he didn't react much.
Jin glared at them with raised eyebrows, then a sigh left his lips as he said,
"Great, speaking of the devil and the devil is here." Jin caressed his temple as Jungkook, with a monotone face, walked towards him, passing Kai and Baekhyun, who looked at him confused.
Facing Jin, Jungkook's facial expressions took a turn as he spoke, "Good morning, I guess you are feeling quite the beat from last night."
"Oh, yeah, well I did. Thanks to you. If only I could hit you a bit more, but then, I am afraid you will die."
"Oh... you care and don't want me to die?" Jungkook's low, deep voice unintentionally sent shivers down Jin's spine as he struggled to comprehend the sudden shift in Jungkook's demeanor.
With a confused expression attached to his face, Jin found himself locked in an intense gaze with Jungkook, who had a small smile-smirk at the corner of his lips.
Jin couldn't shake off the strange feeling creeping up on him, staring into Jungkook's eyes which showed a completely different vibe and aura, as if the Jungkook he knew had been replaced by someone entirely different.
Jungkook would usually look at him with killer and hateful eyes, but now, today at the moment, his voice, his gaze, and that smirk displayed something Jin had never witnessed before.
Kt was new... Jin wasn't sure if it was a good kind of new or bad because he couldn't guess Jungkook's expression at all.
"Dude, what's with you? Did something happen during last night's battle?" Jin inquired, his voice laced with concern, unsure if Jungkook was truly alright.
Jin stepped back in surprise when Jungkook suddenly stepped forward towards him, leaning in, Jungkook whispered, still having that small smile-smirk.
"Something did happen... I just found what I was looking for." Jungkook's low voice made Jin feel goosebumps as he looked at him for a moment before speaking, backing away to put some distance between them.
