-  IN THE DORM ROOM

Jhope and Namjoon were lounging on the couch, watching a movie together. The soft glow of the screen illuminated their relaxed faces as they shared a bowl of popcorn, occasionally exchanging comments about the scenes unfolding before them.

Meanwhile, Jin was perched on his bed, phone in hand, talking animatedly with his father, Taehyung. Despite his usual calm and collected demeanor in front of others, especially Jungkook, Jin was practically buzzing with excitement as he recounted the details of the game. As he didn't wanted Jungkook to see his excitement for who knows why.

"Daddy, you know what happened then? That cat and Jungkook, literally swooped the ball into the hoop. It was so cool," Jin exclaimed, his voice filled with enthusiasm.

"I don’t want to praise that guy, but anyway, he really is an ace. The way he played... it was something else," he admitted, trying to downplay his excitement but failing miserably.

On the other end of the line, Taehyung chuckled, clearly amused by his son's excitement. "Aww, my baby seems to enjoy these two guys’ games too much. How about I buy them for you so that you can always watch them play?" Taehyung suggested casually, his tone teasing yet with an underlying seriousness that only a wealthy, doting father could manage.

Jin giggled, knowing full well that if he so much as hinted at wanting it, his dad would actually make it happen. "Damn, Daddy. No need, gosh," Jin responded, laughing. "But seriously, they were really good today."

Taehyung laughed along with him, pleased to hear his son so happy. "I’m glad you had fun, baby. You know I’d do anything to make you smile."

Jin's heart warmed at his father's words. "I know, Daddy. And I love you for it. But I think I'll just stick to watching them play from the bleachers for now," he said with a smile, glancing over at Jhope and Namjoon, who were now quietly engrossed in their movie.

"Alright, sweetheart," Taehyung replied, his voice gentle. "But remember, if you ever change your mind, just say the word."

"I will, Daddy. Thanks," Jin said, his voice softer now as the excitement of the game began to settle into a comfortable warmth.

As they ended the call, Jin couldn’t help but feel a little giddy, not just because of the game, but because he knew that tonight at 9 p.m., he also was confused thinking what might Jungkook have to say.

Jin couldn’t help but wonder what Jungkook might have to say to him later that night. The thought lingered in his mind, making him feel a mix of curiosity and nervous anticipation. Pushing the thoughts aside for now, he made his way over to his friends, plopping down beside them on the couch.

"Yah, how’s the movie? What’s going on so far?" Jin asked, trying to sound casual.

Without missing a beat, Namjoon suddenly switched into an overly dramatic tone, clearly mimicking a scene from the movie. "Jin, the moon is so beautiful, isn’t it?" he said, his exaggerated acting causing Jhope to stifle a laugh.

Jin rolled his eyes, unimpressed. "Yah, Mr. 148 IQ, there’s still no moon up there, and please, you act ridiculous," Jin retorted, making Jhope burst out laughing.

But then, just as quickly as he had laughed, Jin suddenly stopped. Something about that line... it felt oddly familiar, as if he had heard it before.

"What does that mean?" Jin asked, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

Jhope looked over, still smiling but now curious. "Seriously, you don’t know? It’s a famous Japanese line that means 'I love you.' The female lead just said it to her crush, but damn, he’s too much of an idiot to understand it," Jhope explained, turning his gaze back to the movie.

Jin froze, his mind racing. The realization hit him like a ton of bricks. He felt as if he was the idiot crush Jhope was talking about, Last night, Jungkook had said the exact same thing to him, almost casually, and Jin had brushed it off, thinking it was just a weird comment. But now, with this new context, the words took on a completely different meaning.

Was Jungkook trying to tell him something? Had he really meant it? The idea made Jin’s heart pound in his chest, a wave of nervousness, shock, and confusion washing over him.

"What the hell is going on?" Jin thought to himself, feeling his world tilt ever so slightly as he grappled with the possibility that Jungkook might have been confessing his feelings in a way Jin never expected.

Jhope and Namjoon noticed Jin’s sudden shift in mood but couldn’t quite figure out what was going on. When Namjoon remembered Jin's earlier mention of an appointment at 9, he asked, "Jin, didn’t you say you were going somewhere at 9?"

The mention of the time made Jin’s nerves spike. "O-Oh yeah... I’ll go then, haha," Jin said awkwardly before quickly heading out the door.

Namjoon and Jhope exchanged puzzled looks. "What’s with him?" Namjoon asked, scratching his head.

As Jin walked towards the park where he was supposed to meet Jungkook, his anxiety grew. His heart raced, and he felt goosebumps prickling his skin.

"No way, it can’t be... maybe he was honestly just complimenting the moon. Yeah, last night’s moon was pretty... yes, that’s all it is," Jin tried to convince himself, shaking off the troubling thoughts.

When he arrived at the meeting spot, his nerves spiked again. Jungkook was there, leaning against a tree, dressed entirely in black. He looked up at the sky with a calm expression, but as soon as he saw Jin, a wide smile spread across his face. The sight made Jin’s heart pound even harder.

Jungkook’s smile seemed almost otherworldly, and Jin found himself feeling more nervous than ever. The contrast between Jungkook’s serene demeanor and his own growing anxiety made the moment feel surreal.

"What the hell is going on...?" Jin thought, feeling utterly overwhelmed by the situation. He approached Jungkook, his mind racing with a mix of apprehension and curiosity, trying to prepare himself for whatever might come next.
