Part 18

Carina's POV

I drove back home to find Kiara's car parked outside, quite weird for her to be home at this time of the day since she would always be somewhere else.

"Kiara?" I asked as I unlocked the front door and walked in to find everything quite quiet "hello?" I asked again as I walked into the living room to find her fast asleep on the couch under a couple blankets

I carefully moved over checking her forehead to feel her burning out. I carefully sat down next to her as I gently tied to wake her "Bella" I said as I carefully fixed the hairs out of her face

"No" she murmured as she tried to get herself further under the covers

"Come on you need meds, you're burning out bambina" I said as I helped her sit up

"Oh that hurts" she said as she clutched her stomach

"Where?" I asked looking at her

"I don't know" she shrugged "my stomach is killing me"

"Can I..." I tried to say as she turned to her side being sick "it's okay" I said as I held her hair back

"Sorry" she said as she rubbed her eyes trying to get up being stopped once again "damn" she said

"Let me see" I said being quite certain about what was going on as I gently pressed down on her stomach

"Mom!" And said as she buried her head into a pillow

"Okay Kiar we gotta go to Grey Sloan" I said grabbing my purse

"What?" She asked

"Yes come on" I said "I'm 99% certain that's your appendix"

"My appendix ?" She asked as we locked the door and got into my car as I nodded "I thought it was a bad period pain" she said

"It's not" I said "most likely your appendix is inflamed, we'll see in just a couple minutes"

"Car stop" she said as she clutched her stomach "mom the car stop" she finished as I stopped the car and she instantly open the door being sick

Kiara's POV
Damn it couldn't be. Just couldn't be for gods sakes

"I'm sorry to inform but that definitely looks like a very inflamed appendix" said Arizona as she did an ultrasound on my stomach

"Great" I said holding my head

"It's a very easy fix. In and out, I'll barely leave a scar" she said

"Scar?!" I asked and she smiled

"You won't be able to tell" said mama as she was standing next to me

"What about bikini?" I asked

"Okay not relevant right now" she said as she turned to Arizona who was chuckling

"We'll get you prepped in a couple minutes and take you upstairs alright?" She asked and I nodded

Great. Simply great.

I was still quite mad at my mom though she was making it really hard to be mad at right now

"I'm starving" I said as I locked my phone

"You can't eat before surgery" she said though I knew it already

I sighed as I opened my phone again texting some of my friends

"Alright" we heard as Jo came into room

"Jo?" I asked

"You think I would let you go in there alone?" She asked as she came over fixing my hair into the net "you gotta see this gorgeous face before you're out asleep" she smiled "alright ready?" She asked and I nodded
