Baek Dayeon was in a rather good mood at school today. Even if she didn't want to admit it, it was definitely because of yesterday. Riki had left a little later than expected yesterday, opting to stay longer as he liked being in her lively presence.
However today, they didn't have a lot of shared classes, making her feel slightly bummed out. She quietly hummed to herself, scanning the books on the shelves to see which book she could read. She had a free class so she decided to come to the library with Harin.
After finding a somewhat intriguing book, she walked to the nearest table and sat down. It was the chair that was being pulled out next to her that caught her attention. Yuma smiled at her as he sat down beside her.
"Do you live in the library or something?" she joked, earning a chuckle from the boy. Somehow every time she was in the library, he was there as well. She was caught off guard when he suddenly came closer to her, her breath slightly hitching as she froze in place.
For some weird reason, she didn't feel that fluttery feeling deep in her stomach, or the nervousness that she always felt for Yuma. She assumed it was because she was so used to the feeling that she became numb to it, the thought that she could've possibly stopped liking him not even crossing her mind. I mean, this was Yuma we were talking about. She's liked him for almost 3 years.
She felt him brush a couple of hair strands out of her place, placing them behind her ear. Her cheeks began heating up because of how close they were. She could see his eyes scanning her face before landing on her lips.
Before Dayeon could even think or do anything, a book was slammed on the table right in front of them, earnestly earning their attention as they both quickly pulled away. Riki cleared his throat before sitting down on her opposite side. She couldn't help but feel suddenly nervous for some reason.
Yuma couldn't help but feel annoyed, he slightly rolled his eyes seeing Riki here. Why was he everywhere Dayeon was?
Riki had a scowl on his face remembering how disgustingly close they were. Why was this guy everywhere Dayeon was?
Dayeon's eyes widened seeing how the two boys were sending sharp glares to each other. It was like they were silently cussing each other out. She could feel the excruciating tension between them and just wished to disappear. She didn't know why but this whole situation made her uneasy.
Riki wasn't able to understand why he felt so irritated over the older's presence around Dayeon. And he couldn't comprehend why didn't Dayeon just push him away. Did she want to kiss his germy lips that bad? He didn't even want to think about what would've happened if he hadn't interrupted them.
He then remembered Dayeon's crush on Yuma, a small disappointment creeping up on him. Why did she even like him? Don't get him wrong, he was good friends with Yuma but he wished the boy would just stop showing up wherever Dayeon was.
