You'll witness one of the many things I have in store for how magic interacts with demigods. Also, this chapter might be slightly weaker as I'm not used to writing from Annabeth's POV.

And yes, I love Percy and Jason a lot.

Nestled among tall, rolling hills in the Scottish Highlands, flanked by truly gorgeous scenery, was a large castle, hewn from ancient stone, its high ramparts towering above everything in the vicinity.

It was peaceful, birds chirped, and a gentle breeze wafted through the area.

Ans that was why Annabeth was so confused when a spectral sixty-foot warrior, clad in armor showed up in front of the impressive front doors, scaring nearly everyone witless

She sighed. Only Percy could somehow make a Patronus out of his worst memories. The thought of her fiance warmed her to her core and her hand flew to her stomach.

A soft smile spread across her face. After so long, they would finally have a chance at peace and a family. It was everything Annabeth had ever wished for, be it from when she had run away with Luke and Thalia, to when she and Percy had started dating.

The vortex that was the face of Tartarus started spinning faster as if it were opening its mouth. ' The train derailed due to unforeseen problems. We are back on track and expect to be there before the Sorting with the help of the Hunters. Debrief at night. Love, Percy.'

Piper shot her a worried glance and she was sure that the same thoughts were crossing the younger girl's mind.

'What do we do?' Leo said.

'I think we go in,' she said. 'If they- and the train- are going to be off schedule, we ought to inform Dumbledore.'

'Yeah. And if they will be late, at least we have to be there. We can't give a bad first impression,' Frank said.

With that, he turned to the doors and pushed, the padlocked doors giving in under Frank's immense strength. As the doors opened into a long hallway, Annabeth twisted her engagement ring, and her armor revealed itself, molding around her body. She tugged on her helmet and pushed her knife into its scabbard.

She took the lead with Frank and they set out, making their way through the seemingly endless corridors whose walls were covered with tapestries, statues, and paintings that were... moving?

Huh. That was interesting.

Finally, the path opened up to an even larger and greater door. Sensing their presence, it swung open, and the sight took away her breath.

It was a great hall, candles levitating in the air, giving a shimmering light to the room. The roof revealed the heavens, the skies shining with hundreds of stars. Four tables were laid out, each accompanied by a banner bearing their House's symbol. The teachers sat on gilded chairs in one side of the room and at its center was Dumbledore.

And the teacher sitting at the rightmost chair... oh. Oh.

Dolores Jane Umbridge.

'Welcome, welcome!' Dumbledore said. 'This year, Hogwarts has gotten the great honor of hosting the Royal family of America as they visit Britain. Please, give a standing ovation to the dukes, duchesses, marquis, and marchionesses of the Olympia family!'

The teachers burst into applause, and many ghostly apparitions emerged from the wall to join in.

Annabeth stepped forward and addressed Dumbledore, trying to keep the contempt out of her voice. 'Esteemed Professor, we have recently received a message. Due to some problems that even we do not know about, the Hogwarts Express halted for about half an hour. Through the use of extensive magic, the princes and princesses have managed to hold it together and speed it up.'
