This is a lighthearted chapter. It's like a light that shines through the fog.

"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

-Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore

'Percy, please stay back for a few minutes. I wish to talk to you.'

Percy turned to see Dumbledore standing in the doorway as he and the others left for their dormitories. Giving the Headmaster a once-over, he turned to Annabeth and gave her a peck on the cheek.

'You guys go to the dorms. I'll join you when I'm done with... whatever he wants from me,' he said, lowering his voice.

Walking back to the office, he again took the plush chair in front of Dumbledore's thronelike seat.

'You have something on your mind you would like to tell me, Percy?'

He said, 'What do you mean?'

Dumbledore chuckled. 'Ah, you remind me so much of Harry. But for now, let us put that aside. Please tell me what is bothering you.'

'First, tell me how you knew.'

'I am more than an accomplished enough Legillimens to penetrate your mind, especially if I need to find out what has been plaguing you. Judging from how easy it was, you didn't expect me to do it. Or rather, you expected me not to know how to.'

'True.'

'Youth often underestimates age, thinking those older to be too out of touch and too incapable.'

'Mmhm. Yet age also underestimates youth, and it is foolish to do so.'

'You are wise beyond your years, aren't you? But I suspect it is a byproduct of all you have faced. In that, I find myself yet again comparing you to Harry.'

"He's gone through too much. So have Ron and Hermione. So have all us demigods.'

Dumbledore smiled. 'I expect you to tell me everything one day, Percy. When everything has calmed down, I want to hear of your exploits. I want to know everything.'

Percy let out a long breath, rubbing at the corners of his temples as if that would make it all disappear. 'I- I'm just worried about the kids.'

'Kids?' Dumbledore said, his tone sharp.

He didn't ever intend to, but now he found himself trusting Dumbledore. The wizard, despite his legendary power, had an air about him that put him at rest, diffused the tension, and took the worry out of his bones.

He then wondered how much worry Dumbledore had on his shoulders.

'Annabeth and Piper... they're-'

'Ah. I assume that you are, as one should be, worried about the challenges that will come with it. And how you will handle your newfound responsibilities with the ones you have taken upon yourself here?'

'Yes.'

'Do not worry. I shall do my best to ensure that everything goes smoothly. We shall enlist Madam Pompfrey too, if you would like, to help with the delivery.'

Percy shook his head. 'No, thank you. We'll pull Will in for a few days. That ought to cheer up Nico again. And Solace can also give us an update on the situation.'

'Then goodnight, my boy. We shall meet again.'

He bowed his head and left the office, saying, 'Good night, then. And Professor? Don't mess up what you have here with your students. They think the sun shines out of your ass, but everyone's got skeletons in their closet. You should reveal them than have them be revealed.'
