Jason put his head in Piper's lap and allowed her to run her hands through his hair. It felt so good. He looked around his surroundings in the forest: in the morning it was beautiful, with large trees that drowned out some sunlight, fast-flowing rivers, and clear lakes.
The chirping of the birds filled his ears, punctuated by the low cries of some of the animals.
'So, are you going to cut your hair or what?' Piper said.
Jason grinned. 'Hey, I'll have it however you like it. But if it means I get these massages, then long hair each day every day.'
'Mmm. I agree. Though I might have to go down the Annabeth route and put your hair in a high ponytail.'
He thought back to not a year earlier when the idea of having long hair would have horrified him. He preferred it this way- he wasn't bound by so many rules and regulations, and he could just live.
'Percy rocks it. If my bro can do it, so can I.' Jason put a hand on Piper's stomach and smiled. 'I can't believe we're having a kid. I never thought we'd even live past 16, what with Gaea.'
'I can't either. I mean, I'll be having a baby emerge from within me in a few months.' She took his hand. 'I'm scared.'
'I would be surprised if you weren't. I sure am.'
'You know, I'm not sure as to how this mission will proceed. The gods have sent us in here with the most basic information, they've given us half-assed instructions, and since we arrived, they've been silent.'
'And this, combined with Percy's vision? Yeah, this shit's all over the place,' Jason said.
'What do you think of Voldemort?' Piper said.
Harry burst into the clearing, Hermione and Ron at his heels.
'This came for Percy,' Harry said, his voice shaking. 'We couldn't find him, so we came to you... Umbridge's out for our blood.'
Jason turned over the envelope. Splotches of blood littered the paper, darkening the parchment in the areas where the drops fell. Rage burned inside of him and he had to put a lid on his temper, taking deep breaths to calm himself.
He opened it, noting the shaky, loopy handwriting.
'To γενικός Perseus Jackson.
Camp Jupiter attacked.
It was a surprise. The enemy came out of nowhere in droves.
Wizards and Witches.
Death Eaters.
The Third Cohort was on patrol. They got decimated. Centurion Larry made it back in time to inform us before succumbing to his wounds.
We had no opportunity to mount a defense. We evacuated the city and hit the alarms before reaching Camp Half-Blood. It too was attacked.
The casualty count of the camps is at a hundred, give or take.
Hotel Valhalla was also attacked. They had the time to prepare. Only ten einheirji died.
The worst hit was the 21st Nome. Carter and Sadie had gone to the First with the older initiates for an educational trip. They returned as soon as the bell sounded.
It was too late. Brooklyn House had been demolished, brought to the ground. Everyone was dead, even the anklebiters. The only one to survive was Felix, who had encased himself in a block of ice.
The total casualty count is over five hundred.
Waiting for your response,
Centurion Lavinia Asimov.

At dinner, all of them stood from the table.
'We came here due to a debt that our trainer owed Dumbledore. We were given specific tasks to do, but we came here on the one condition that we would not be drawn into any potential conflict,' Nico said.
Jason allowed his aura to swell. 'But we have. Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters have attacked us unprovoked. Our parents want blood for blood. They want revenge. We have managed to stop them for some time, but they want placation for the hundreds that were killed.'
'Dolores Jane Umbridge,' Percy said, his voice booming throughout the room. 'I, Perseus Jackson, as the representative of the Royal Families of America, give you an ultimatum. Further failure to address the rising threat of Lord Voldemort will result in the war of the Olympia family against the Ministry of Magic. It will be on a scale hitherto unforeseen, so beware.'
That woman had the gall to let out a high-pitched, girlish laugh. 'I must be mistaken, your majesties, but it sounded, for a moment, as if you were threatening the Ministry. You are but children; what could you do?'
Percy smiled. The corners of his lips lifted until his canines bared, and it was the look of a wolf waiting to finish the kill. 'We could and will do a lot. We shall descend upon you with the wrath of the heavens, and we shall not rest until you are wiped out.
'The first to fall shall be your precious Ministry. It will be destroyed and the earth upon which it stands shall be ruined and cursed. However, we will not stop until the oceans that surround Britain are made of water no longer, but are made of the life essence that has drained from the bodies of every single man, woman, and child of wizarding Britain. Your entire race will be wiped out, and only then shall we have peace.'
