I smiled as I looked around in wonder and Peter smiled, holding a device, "You're lucky that the Sovereign hired us. I don't think we would ever come here without a reason to," The device beeps, "Ah, Showtime, a-holes! Nefertiti, the High Priestess has requested that you do not fight this space monster, she wishes to see you during the fight." I pouted, "But-" Gamora sighed, "I know, but you need to do this and I'd rather not get on her bad side." I nodded and made my way to the High Priestess.

I walked into the throne room and everyone started whispering. I looked down and started to feel nervous. The High Priestess smiled at me, "Nefertiti." I bowed my head in respect, "High Priestess." She smiled softly, "It's wonderful to see you, child. You look absolutely beautiful. Your uncle has been worried about you since you were stolen from your birthing pod right before you woke up."

I frowned, "Stolen?" A man walked up to me and smiled, "I am your uncle Neo. Like many of our families, we keep the first letter in all our names. Your mother was my sister." I teared up, "All this time, I didn't know who my blood family was. I already have a family, but it is nice to see you Uncle."

The High Priestess frowned, "Not being raised under our conditions makes you very unique and different. I don't understand why your sister would use the new evolution birthing pod, Admiral." My uncle frowned, "I'm not sure as well. Niece, was Peter Quill correct when he informed us that you two share a father?" I nodded, "The Xandarians confirmed it." Everyone muttered more and the High Priestess sighed, "I bet it was awful for you to go everywhere and be started at like an art piece."

I nodded, "If we went somewhere, I would have to stay back because I was different." The High Priestess smiled, "We are all one here my child. You are home. Your friends will be here any moment and you can go back with them, but you need to come back soon so you can be with your people. You need to be around your own kind."

I smiled as my family walked in, standing in front of High Priestess Ayesha. Ayesha nodded to them, "We thank you, Guardians, for putting your lives on the line. We could not risk the lives of our own Sovereign citizens and I thank you for informing me about Nefertiti. The Admiral and his niece are reunited once more. The daughter of our late Narissa is home!" I smiled as my uncle placed my mother's cloak on my shoulders with a smile and everyone started cheering.

"Every citizen is born exactly as designed by the community. Impeccable, both physically and mentally. Nefertiti went through the new evolution pod that our community designed and was made to perfection. Down to the last perfectly manicured fingernail. We control the DNA of our protege, germinating them in birthing pods," Ayesha smiled at me, "Nefertiti will be the mate of my son, who I plan on designing in a few short weeks." I smiled and bowed politely, "It is an honor, High Priestess." I saw out of the corner of my eye, that my friends didn't share my thoughts and Peter looked pissed. Peter looked at Ayesha, "I guess I prefer to make people the old-fashioned way."

Ayesha grinned, seeing how that comment annoyed Gamora, "Perhaps someday, you could give me a history lesson, in the archaic ways of our ancestors. For academic purposes." I smirked at the comment and my Uncle smirked as well, looking at me briefly and whispering, "I guess even though you haven't been here, our ways are in your blood." I nodded and whispered back, "Now and then the Guardians comment that I'm being 'Sovereign', I think it's a compliment."

Uncle Neo nodded with a grin, "Definitely my niece. I see your mother in you." We both stopped talking, seeing that we missed some things and Gamora was walking away with Nebula. "We thank you, High Priestess Ayesha," Peter said with a bow. Ayesha tilted her head, "What is your heritage, Mr. Quill?"

Peter sighed, "My mother is from Earth. Nefertiti and I share a father, but he ain't from Missouri." Ayesha walked over to me and played with my hair, "I see it within both of you. An unorthodox genealogy. One would think that would make Nefertiti an anomaly, but she is precious. She is a hybrid with untapped potential, graceful, and intelligent. Perfect. You on the other hand are a hybrid that seems particularly...reckless."

Rocket stepped forward, "You know, they told me you people were conceited douchebags... but that isn't true at all." Everyone gasped in offense as Rocket winked with his wrong eye and I gritted my teeth, "Rocket. That was rude and uncalled for." Rocket looked at me, "I can't see Nefertiti being related to this race other than being gold. We might have to see if that's paint or not."

I snapped my eyes at Peter and he knew exactly what I meant, Peter whispered to Drax and I nodded respectfully at Ayesha, "High Priestess, I am deeply sorry for what my companion has expressed. I will be having a discussion when we return to the ship." Ayesha smiled and cupped my cheek, "Admiral, your niece is like us in so many ways, even not being raised on our planet. She is a gift." Neo smiled and nodded, "She is, High Priestess. Please remember to come back home, Nefertiti." I nodded, "I promise Uncle. Do not worry about it."

With that, I walked out of the throne room gracefully and towards the Milano where I could ask Rocket what he was thinking.
