I walked through the crowd as the rest of the Guardians fought, many of The High Evolutionary's employees avoided me and that's fine. I'm saving everything for the man himself. I smiled at everyone from the doorway and the F'saki jumped in my arms, "I gotta say, that looked really cool." Mantis smiled and fist-bumped Groot, "Yes!"

We hurried through the ship and Peter looked at me, "There's a big hole up in the deck. If we can connect that to Knowhere, we can lead the survivors to safety." Rocket nodded, "Nebs and me will pilot the ship. You guys save all the higher life forms." We split up and followed Drax to the kids. I gasped in horror, "He's been keeping these kids?" One little girl gasped and smiled at me, "Joob Joob." I looked at Drax and he smiled, "She says you look like a goddess." I smiled and hugged the girl, "She's so cute!" 

We started ripping the locks off the cages and ushering the kids out of them, "Let's go!" I heard Adam screaming and I turned around to see him on the ground, so I hurried over and set his head in my lap, "Oh, Adam. Groot, please carry him." Groot nodded and picked him up and we all hurried to the connector from us to Knowhere.

"Stitch it up, Cosmo! It needs to be airtight for the kids to make it across!" Peter yelled and I smiled, "You're a good dog, Cosmo!" I heard her howl, "I am a good dog! Locking up, Kapitan!" After the shield went down, the kids hurried off and I looked towards Adam, hurrying over as Groot set him down, "Adam, can you hear me?" Adam cupped my cheek, "Nefertiti, I can hear you." He then looked at Groot, "Why?" Groot looked at Adam as he kneeled beside me and Adam continued, "Why are you doing this? I tried to kill you." 

Groot smiled, "I am Groot." Drax explained, "He says, 'Everyone deserves a second chance. Nefertiti sees good in you and she's never been wrong before.' He does say that you break his mother's heart, he'll rip yours out." Adam snapped his head towards me, "Mother?" I giggled, "Adoptive, Adam." Adam still looked confused and I elaborated, "He's like a son to me. I helped raise him. He's not my blood." Adam nodded, "Ah, I see." 

I heard the ship creak and the kids scream, "Adam, I have to help. Please don't leave." I hurried over to the connector as Mantis helped Cosmo and got on the ship, "Nebula, where's Rocket?" Nebula looked around, "Huh?" I started breathing heavily, "No, no, no!" I sprinted through the ship as Bula and Peter yelled for me to come back, "Rocket!" I turned my head to see Rocket in another hanger and I slipped and fell trying to change directions. I sighed in relief, got up, and walked over to Rocket to see him looking at some animals in a cage. I smiled, "I see you found your family, Rocket." Rocket smiled softly, "You're my family, Nefertiti. All of you are."

I smiled softly at the Raccoon kits trying to see Rocket and I looked around, angry that the High Evolutionary did this to these animals. Rocket pulled something out of his pocket and unlocked the cage, emotionally looking at the kits. I smiled with tears in my eyes and he scooped up all the kits and placed them all over him. Rocket looked around and sniffled, "We can't leave them to die." I pet one of the kits and smiled, "Give me the key. Take the kits to Knowhere and I'll get them out." 

Rocket looked at me, "What? You will?" I smiled and kissed his head, "You are my brother, Rocket. I can't imagine what it was like here, but I will not let these creatures die with this ship. Lead them out, I'll unlock the cages." Rocket smiled tearfully, "Thank you, Sister." I smiled and took the key, going to unlock several cages, "Let's do this and then I get to kill the High Evolutionary." 

"You!" I turned around to see the High Evolutionary stomping his way towards us, "You thought you both could escape me!?" The kits got off Rocket and the High Moron launched Rocket into the ceiling, "No!" The High Evolutionary threw his other hand and trapped me in his powers, dragging me across the floor as I struggled, "You think you have some worth in and of yourself, without me?! No!" 

He continued to throw Rocket around and I struggled harder, "You better leave him alone, you son of a bitch!" The High Evolutionary ignored me and continued to scream at Rocket, "You are an abomination! Nothing more than a step on my path, you freakish little monster! How day you think you are more, 89P13!" I got free and stood up, letting my eyes turn completely gold as Rocket got free and pointed his gun at The High Evolutionary, "The name's Rocket. Rocket Raccoon. And you might wanna look behind you, there's something gold that wants to talk to you." Rocket shot him as I focused my power on his face as he ran towards Rocket, only to be intercepted by Groot. 

All of the Guardians started to join in on the fight and it was finally the killing blow. I shoved my sword into the High Evolutionary's stomach and smirked at him as he gasped, "My brother is not a freakish little monster." I had the man in a chokehold and Gamora came over and removed the face that was coming loose. I blinked, "When did this turn into a Scooby Doo episode?" I let the High Evolutionary go and he fell to the ground as Drax looked at Gamora, "His face came off!" 

Rocket and I looked at the actual monster on the ground and the High Evolutionary stared at Rocket, "Look what you did to me! For what? All I wanted to do was to make things perfect." I gagged, "Damn, Rocket. You did some damage. Good work, I can't see how I can make this worse." Rocket shook his head, "You didn't wanna make things perfect. You just hated things the way they are. You wanted my sister for a military enforcer." Drax looked at me, "Nefertiti, kill him." 

I snarled, "I'm going to make this slow." Rocket grabbed my arm and Drax frowned, "Why?" Rocket sighed, "Because I'm a freaking Guardian of the Galaxy. Nefertiti was never meant to kill, I can see it. She still has some Ego in her." Part of the ship exploded and Gamora flinched, "We have to get outta here now." Rocket looked at the rest of the group, "We have to save them." Peter looked at him as they all walked towards the exit, "We've got all the kids on board." I shook my head, "No, Peter. The rest of them. I'm not leaving without saving them." I held up the key that Rocket handed me and Peter nodded.

I ushered all the animals off and something furry nuzzled into my leg, I looked down and teared up, "It's so cute!" Peter looked at me in alarm, "That's a Northwestern Wolf, the biggest on Earth, Nefer! You can't keep it." The wolf jumped up, put his front paws on my shoulders, and licked my face as I giggled, "I'm calling him Rameses and I'm finding him a brother and naming him Moses!" Peter groaned as he continued to help the animals off, "I should have never shown you The Prince of Egypt!" 

I pet the wolf and continued to usher the animals off and the ship started to give so we ran off. I looked behind me to see Peter still on. The ship fell apart and we all watched my brother try to get over. Drax yelled, "Quill, hurry!" I cried and tried to run to my brother, only for Nebula and Gamora to stop me and drag me away from the edge, "Peter!" I watched as Peter floated in space, not being able to reach us and I screamed, "Peter!" Mantis yelled at the same time I did and I struggled harder against the sisters, "Let me go! I can get him!" 

Groot yelled and sobbed, trying to grab him with his branches but the atmosphere wouldn't allow it. I fell to my knees and sobbed into the air, screaming as Nebula held me. I heard a thud and saw that Adam had gone out and got Peter. I hurried over and Nebula turned my brother over, "Peter!?" I sobbed and hugged Adam, "Thank you, Adam." 

Adam put his face in my neck and hugged me tight, "I could let him die. He's your brother. I didn't want you to feel what you did anymore." I sobbed and kissed him, "Thank you, thank you, thank you." I hurried over and sat near Peter's head, "Peter. Come on." Peter looked at me with his warped face, straining, "Did..that...look cool?" I laughed through my tears, "You idiot." I hugged him close to me as the others joined in and Adam hugged me from the back, I smiled and looked at him, "I'm so glad you're okay, Adam." The F'saki jumped onto my shoulder and nuzzled into Adam.
