The pain got stronger and I looked over to see Yondu crashing in, causing Peter and I to fall to the floor. Drax and Gamora ran over and picked us up, helping us into the ship. I smiled, "Thank you Rocket." Rocket smiled, "See, that's how you thank somebody."

Mantis looked worried, "This is only an extension of Ego's true self. He will be back soon." I sighed, "I wish the Sovereign were here." Rocket looked appalled, "Are you kidding me!?" Peter looked at Nebula, "What's Smurfette still doing here?" Nebula glanced at him, "Whatever I need to do to get a damn ride home." Rocket glared at her, "She tried to murder me!"

Nebula didn't look at him, "I saved you, you stupid fox." I sighed, "Bula, he's not a fox." Groot placed a hand on my leg, "I am Groot." Rocket shook his head, "I'm not a Rabboon either." Groot looked at him, "I am Groot." Rocket rolled his eyes, "Raccoon. Whatever."

I walked up to the flight controls and smiled, "Yondu!" Yondu smiled, "Hey, girlie!" I hugged him around his neck, "I am so sorry for being a pain in the ass Sovereign. I thank you for never delivering me to this freak." Yondu laughed, "Your welcome. Apology excepted." Peter got up here and looked confused, "Yondu?!"

I held onto Yondu's seat as Peter climbed into the passenger seat. Yondu pressed some buttons, "Thrusters are out." Peter messed with the wires, "Guess I should be glad I was a skinny kid. Otherwise, you'd delivered me to the maniac." Yondu looked at him, "You still reckon that's the reason I kept you around, idiot?" Peter rolled his eyes, "That's what you told me, you old doofus." I giggled, "Are you two finished?"

Yondu sighed, "Once I figured out what happened to them other kids I wasn't just gonna hand you and Nefer over." Peter didn't look happy, "You said you were going to eat me." Yondu frowned, "That was being funny!" Peter looked at him, "Not to me!" Rocket yelled to us, "You people have issues!"

I rolled my eyes, "Of course we have issues, that's our fucking father!" I pointed at Ego who was terrifyingly molding back together. Peter looked terrified and grabbed the second wheel, "Thrusters are back up! Nefer hold on to something!" I held on as we went down into the caverns to kill Ego.

Yondu looked confused, "We should be going up!" Peter shook his head, "We can't! Ego wants to eradicate the universe as we know it. We have to kill him!" I snarled happily, "That's the best news I've heard this whole decade! Rocket!"

Rocket yelled back, "Got it!" The lasers that Rocket was controlling broke through the surface and I looked down at Mantis with a smile. "That crabby puppy is so cute. He makes me want to die!" Mantis said with a smile and I giggled at Drax's face who looked so confused.

Yondu looked at us, "Tell me, why does Ego want you both here?" I sighed, "He needs our genetic connection to the light to destroy the universe. He tried to teach Peter how to control the power." Yondu looked at Peter, "So could you?" I smirked, "He made a ball." Yondu smirked, "A ball?" Peter looked annoyed, "I thought as hard as I could." Yondu looked at Peter, "You 'thought'? You think when I make this arrow fly I use my head?" I snorted and patted his head right on the fin, "You kinda do." I looked around in amazement, "This is weird."

Kraglin came over the comms link as we were watching Rocket laser through Ego's core, "Um. Captain?" Yondu responded, "What is it, Kraglin?" Kraglin sounded nervous, "Hey, remember that Ayesha chick that offered us five million units for the safe return of their Gem, Nefertiti?" Yondu nodded, "Yeah, why?" Peter and I looked at each other in confusion and then we looked over and out the window to see the High Priestess and the swarm of Sovereign ships. Yondu moved out of the way, "Oh, hell!"

The Sovereign kept shooting at us as we avoided them and I strapped in my guns, "I will be on the lookout for Psycho Dad since the Sovereign won't hurt me." Rocket held up the batteries and I tilted my head, "Are those strong enough to kill Ego?" Rocket shrugged, "If it is, it will cause a chain reaction throughout his entire nervous system." I picked up Groot and held him like a baby, causing him to snuggle into me and Rocket looked at me, "You treat him like a baby! That's why he won't listen to me! He's a momma's boy!"

Peter, Rocket, and I jumped out of the ship and flew into the hold that the lasers made. I landed on my feet but the other two landed on their sides. We looked around and Rocket sighed, "The metal's too thick. For the bomb to work, we'd actually need to place it on Ego's core and our fat butts ain't gonna fit through those tiny holes." Peter looked at Groot in my arms, "Well...." Rocket looked at Groot and then Peter, "That's a terrible idea." Peter nodded, "Which is the only kind of idea we have left." Rocket groaned as I walked forward, smiling and cooing at Groot.

Rocket muttered, "Rocket, do this. Rocket, do that." I stood off to the side and watched as Rocket explained to Groot what to do, "All right, first you flick this switch, then this switch. That activates it. Then you push this button," Rocket pointed to the button on our right, but Groot's left, "Which will give you five minutes to get out of there. Now whatever you do, do not push don't push this button," Rocket pointed a the button to our left, but Groot's right, "Because that will set off the bomb immediately and we'll all be dead. So coloring time will mommy will be no more. Now, repeat back what I just said."

Groot started pointing and explaining when he got to the end, I sighed, "Groot, sweetie, that's the button that will kill everyone. Try again." He did it again and this time Rocket was annoyed, "No! That's exactly what you just said! How is that even possible!?" I looked at Rocket, "You're making him nervous!" Rocket pointed at me, "He is your son, through and through! I told you to not baby him so much and look where it's gotten us! Groot, which button is the one you're supposed to push!?" Groot pointed to the death button and Rocket yelled in anger, "No!"

Peter looked into the hole, "Hey, you're making him nervous!" Rocket turned around, "Shut up and get me some tape! Fern already told me that! Does anyone out there have tape? I wanna put some tape of the death button." Peter nodded, "I don't have any tape, but let me check!" Peter flew off and we heard the conversations, I covered my face, wondering how I related to Peter.

Peter came back and sighed, "Nobody has any tape!" I groaned and looked at him, "Not a single person has tape?!" Peter shook his head, "Nope!" I smirked, "Did you ask Bula!?" Peter looked annoyed, "Yes!" Rocket asked again, "Are you sure?" Peter sighed, "I asked Yondu and she was sitting next to him!"

Rocket pointed at him, "I knew you were lying!" Peter groaned, "You have priceless batteries and an atomic bomb in your bag. If anyone should have tape, it's you!" Rocket yelled, "That's exactly my point! Fern and I have to do everything!" Peter screamed back, "You are wasting a lot of time here!"

We both looked back at Groot to see him running off into a smaller hole with the bomb and Rocket sighed, looking at me, "Your son is going to kill us all isn't he?" I sighed, "When Groot's handed guns or bombs, he's your son."
